I did the express tour with Bart. Wonderful experience. Bart knew what he was looking for and found us some great lights. It was a nice tour because it was quick and went to great spots. It was the best night for the lights we had!

everything about this trip was great, the organization, communication and overall experience showed Wandering Owl as an excellent outfit. Our guide Evgeni found us a fabulous viewing spot by a fjord with a stunning mountain backdrop. He lit us a campfire and later served us hot soup while providing endless aurora facts and stories. His extensive knowledge paid off as we were treated to a wonderful aurora display, a superb highlight to a great evening. My wife and I will treasure this experience along with some great photos for a long time. Thank you Evgeni, you are the man!!

We had an amazing and unforgettable experience with Wandering Owl. Our tour guide + driver Bart put in much effort in finding clear skies to capture the Northern Lights. We managed to get a lot of amazing photos of the aurora on its own and also with me and my partner. This group is adults-only and it is also even smaller than most groups, at only 8 people. It definitely made it easier to get to know all the members of the group during the trip. It was also easier to accommodate for individual needs (e.g. somebody feeling really cold and had to stay in the van or get the thermal suits early on, thanks Bart!).

After multiple Aurora tours in Tromsø I can confidently say that Wandering Owl is the best! For the mini bus tour they have the smallest groups with the most comfortable vehicle, the best food, and the easiest way to bring the suits and boots. Our guide Evgeni was amazing, he found us the clearest sky and took incredible photos for us even on a night with low activity. He taught us all about the aurora and kept us entertained while waiting for more lights. I highly recommend him and Wandering Owl for your experience in Tromsø.

Evening, our guide, was definitely very passionate about his job and showing us the light. He took great photos and explained everything really well. The soup was very good! Highly recommend. Have a light dinner before you go.

Absolutely amazing!! Bart was very knowledgable & passionate about the Aurora. What an extremely special night!! We shared it with 2 other couples & a single person. We were driven to Finland (3 hours from Tromso) & got to see a spectacular display, standing on a frozen lake covered with knee deep powdery snow & surrounded by mountains & trees. Such a magical experience...... Thank you.

A fabulous experience. Bart took us (at speed!) to Finland to see the Aurora. The weather in Tromso had been terrible and the efforts made to get us to Finland in time for clear skies was exemplary. A great night viewing, from a frozen lake, knee deep in soft snow. Truly memorable, is so many ways. Thank you Bart!

We went with Wandering Owl twice in one week. The first time, we had a great experience and viewed some great aurora lights over several hours about a one hour drive southeast of Tromso. So good that we considered cancelling the second reservation for several days later. But we decided to stick with it and boy did we get rewarded for that decision. The second time out, we went west across a couple of bridges to a large island, then pulled off the road by a lake. The moon was low in the sky shining off the lake for the perfect set up. Then the light show began. Stupendous!! It was like someone had a giant neon paintbrush and kept drawing over and over again in all shapes from sharp bands to circles to curtains and swirls. Some of the shapes were moving rapidly right before our eyes, bringing an audible gasp from everyone in attendance. We were incredibly moved by what in my opinion was the single most memorable nature experience of my life. Our guide Bart worked like a dog to give us a great experience, helping us into our thermal suits, setting up the fire, serving soup and drinks, and racing around setting up his camera (he is a camera buff) to catch the latest spectral configurations. Truly magical! Wandering Owl has a great vibe and a personal touch. They were recommended by our son and did not disappoint.

Ellie was a great guide AND impressive driver. Navigating a snow blizzard and chasing clear skies all the way into Finland. Really appreciated the safe approach and efforts to make our experience comfortable! And of course to see the Northern Lights 💚
