Come with us for your small-group Aurora hunt for an ethical experience chasing the Aurora Borealis. Leave the light pollution in Tromsø behind and travel into the Arctic wilderness. Our guides use forecasts and local knowledge to decide on the best place to chase the Northern Lights. When we find the best spot, we will dress in warm thermal suits and boots, make a cosy campfire, and enjoy a homemade meal. During the tour, your guide will take photos of you, which will be available for free in web-sized resolution after the tour.
Relax by the fire with hot chocolate before returning to Tromsø island to your hotel. Though there is never a guarantee of seeing this phenomenon, our Aurora Hunters will do their best every night of the season. Increase your chances of seeing the Northern Lights by joining on multiple evenings.

5.00This was 7th trip with Wandering Owl they have the best guides and find the best locations! If you want the best chance to see the northern lights use Wandering Owl. the guides Bart Elle and Michael are amazing. There alot of bad tours opening now with huge buses those buses will not be able to take to the best locations. Also wandering Owl guides are amazing photographers they take amazing pictures and email them to you

1.00Not the hunt that we expected....laying on a chair during 3h...we don t call that an aurora hunt.. we just see one big aurora and the guides say we wont see more than this one..but all the indicators show exactly the opposite..very disappointed company. Book with someone else..

5.00It was an amazing tour with an amazing guide (Ellie) who really focused on giving us the best views and experiences of hunting, seeing and enjoying the wonderful auroras! It was such an amazing experience. The spot that she took us to eat was incredible in the middle of the fiords just incredible. We can strongly define this tour as a complete and unique adventure.

5.00Both Anetta and Jens genuinely wanted us to experience the Northern Lights in their full glory and took all steps to optimise our chances of seeing them. And boy was it worth it; we got a spectacular show!! The campsite fire and delicious soup and hot chocolate were really appreciated. Group size was just right. 5.00Absolutely amazing experience! We had Aneta as a guide and Jens as a driver. Both were great. Aneta was truly knowledgeable about the Northern Lighrs and we got to see them clearer than the night sky. The tour provided a yummy soup, hot chocolate, and cookies!!!

5.00Very good aurora tour. Small group, good and passionate gide (thanks Aneta!!). She took us on several very beautiful spots. We got lucky with very good conditions and beautiful aurora. Also, being on a special diet : wandering owl offers vegan and gluten free soup and cookies, also a reason why i chose this compagnie.
