Kitulgala is a town located on the west side of the road from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It is known for its adventure sports and is a popular destination for whitewater rafting enthusiasts. The Kelani River that flows through Kitulgala offers a thrilling experience with its rapids and tides. The river has five major rapids and four minor rapids, and the entire rafting experience takes about 90 minutes to cover a distance of 6.5 km. The activity is open to anyone over the age of 10 and includes safety gear and a comprehensive safety briefing by whitewater rafting instructors. In addition to whitewater rafting, Kitulgala is also popular for sports like confidence jumping, stream sliding, waterfall abseiling, jungle trekking, bird watching, cave exploration, and river trips and expeditions.

5.00Undoubtedly, It was an awe inspiring visit to Sri Lanka where I along with my wife and children had been residing for a week. We became exposed to different cultures over there which made us fell in love with them at first sight. It was also a quite informative and educational trip for my children as they had been studying about Sri Lanka in their books and then witnessing them with their own eyes made them feel out of the world. We admired each and every bit of Sri Lanka and will soon plan to pay back a visit to it. However, our tour guide Kumara did a great job as he relieved off our stress of travelling from our shoulders.
