The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!

It was great! It was a must see the minute I knew we were traveling to Tasmania, Very informative and really incredible being able to several T.D’s interacting with each other. Awesome work the sanctuary does for increasing and protecting the population of TD’s ❤️

We'd never seen Tassie Devils before and this experience was a highlight at Cradle Mountain. Staff were super friendly, really knowledgable and to experiencing getting up super close to a juvenile devil was soooo good.

Such an interesting and educational experience and we learned so much about Tasmanian Devils and Quolls and other wildlife. Our guide was both passionate and knowledgeable. Our tour started with a talk inside where we were provided with a wine or soft drink and a lovely platter of Tasmanian made products. The group was small which made participation practical when we moved outside to pat a Devil and watch them being fed. Loved being so close! The only negative comment I have is that our lovely guide spoke very quickly and I sometimes struggled to hear her. For overseas visitors this may be a problem

We loved it the evening feeding tour so much that we went back for the joey tour a couple of days later. Both guides/keepers were very knowledgeable and clearly very committed to the animals. I had no particular interest in Tasmanian Devils and quolls before our visit, but after our first visit I was quite smitten:) I absolutely recommend a visit.

An unforgettable experience! It was incredible to see these rare animals up close in their natural habitat at Cradle Mountain. The guides were knowledgeable, and it was clear the devils are well cared for and respected by the organization. A truly special and educational evening — highly recommended for anyone visiting Tasmania.
