The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!

We had a beautiful experience at Devils @ Cradle. The After Dark Feeding Tour was fantastic — just over an hour long, which felt perfect. Our lovely guide was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the animals and conservation work being done there. The group size was around 20 people, which still felt really personal and relaxed. Such a special experience and definitely something we’d recommend when visiting Cradle Mountain!

Really great tour learnt so much about the little devils. Just make sure you dress for ANY weather as it can get very cold with the night sessions while outside

Great and informative night. But at cooler weather definitely rug up and make sure to wear comfy shoes as you’re standing the whole time.

We had an amazing visit, we did the PM devil and quoll feeding experience and visited the sanctuary beforehand to look around. The enclosures were fantastic and the animals all looked very healthy and happy. Prue, our guide, was great - friendly, funny, extremely passionate and knowledgeable; gave us so much information without being bombarded. Seeing such iconic but elusive animals feeding in a natural setting was amazing. The conservation work these guys do is incredible and they deserve all the credit and support they can get! 100% recommended, fantastic experience and facility!

It was an amazing experience, our guide was very knowledgeable, extremely passionate, kind and humourous. Devils @ Cradle are doing important conservation work and whilst this was my 3rd visit, I'll be doing it again.

The feeding tour includes quolls and tasmanian devils. The guide we had was very informative and we got a decent chance to see animals. The tour also comes with entry to the Devils @ Cradle, which I highly recommend before the tour as the animals were surprisingly active prior to the feeding tour.

Renae, the keeper, was excellent and obviously knew the devils, quolls & wombat well. We did the day keeper tour earlier and it was awesome to see the different personalities of the devils and quolls during feeding time.
