The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!

We loved it the evening feeding tour so much that we went back for the joey tour a couple of days later. Both guides/keepers were very knowledgeable and clearly very committed to the animals. I had no particular interest in Tasmanian Devils and quolls before our visit, but after our first visit I was quite smitten:) I absolutely recommend a visit.

An unforgettable experience! It was incredible to see these rare animals up close in their natural habitat at Cradle Mountain. The guides were knowledgeable, and it was clear the devils are well cared for and respected by the organization. A truly special and educational evening — highly recommended for anyone visiting Tasmania.

My wife and I booked a Dessert with the Devils in mid September as apart of our honeymoon celebrations. We had pre-booked this experience and ended up with only the two of us on the tour that night (the night before it had been quite busy). They still ran the tour despite these low numbers, and made sure we had a great time. Plus they lit a little fire as well and enjoying some marshmallows to enjoy watching the feast in front of us. Our tour guide Rory was very experienced and knowledgeable about the Tasmanian devils and the Quolls within the center and also Tasmania and the mainland of Australia. He answered every question we asked him and even found out the poops of most of the animals around the park giving us a good indication what to look for on our hikes around Crater Lake, Dove Lake and base of Cradle mountain. Definitely worth the money and a great highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this tour

A great way to see Tasmania Devils and Quolls up close. Our guild was brilliant, both highly informative and ensured everyone got the best opportunity to view the animals.

Excellent experience learning about Tasmanian Tigers and Quolls. Prue provided a great narration as she worked her way around the enclosures providing evening dinner to the animals. It was quite the spectacle to observe these creatures and their behaviour. I was a bit doubtful about what it would look like - sounds of crunching bones and smell of meat. I completely forgot about these concerns once the adventure began. This became one of the more interesting encounters of our Tassie adventure.

Truly insightful on the importance of animal conservation for Tassie Devils, Spotted-tailed Quolls, and Eastern Quolls.
