Our Aix-en-Provence food tour is a walking tour around the historical center. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities.
Start the tour with a guided tasting of truffle based products, the one that we call the "black diamond of Provence". Then sample a charcuterie board with a glass of refreshing wine. After having learned everything about the precious truffle, get ready to taste it as one of the key ingredients of a must of the french cuisine, the Croque Monsieur. To end with a sweet note, we will show you one of the most delicious pastry shops in Aix en Provence

5.00Renaud is knowledgeable, pleasant, speaking excellent English and very perceptive to our needs. On the very hot day he led us through shadowy streets and talked about history and food. Highly recommended!

2.00I would rate this the poorest tour we have experienced. We book these experiences to gain knowledge of the local / regional history, cuisine, and how the people here eat. We learned none of that. Our first stop was in a truffle shop where our guide left us and the shop owner attempted to sell us every product on her shelves. Our next stop was in a touristy plaza where we had charcuterie. There was no explanation of where the pork was sourced or what was unique about it. We could have ordered it at any bistro along the way.. Our last stop did provide a delicious dish that we found unique. We liked it enough to return a couple days later and order it ourselves. Our guide, while pleasant, seemed like she wasn’t present. We learned much about her personal life and family but, unfortunately, next to nothing about Aix, Provence, or the people here.

5.00It was a great tour to do at the very beginning of stay, giving some good orientation and helpful insights as to where to shop for food, as we stayed in an apartment while in Aix. Tour guide very helpful, knowledgeable and open to answering all our questions.
