Choose between a day tour or a special night tour of Alcatraz. The night tour includes a narrated cruise at sunset, cell door demonstrations, and talks from expert historians. Both tours include an audio guide available in multiple languages to delve into the prison's history and infamous escape attempts.
Additionally, enjoy a narrated 1-hour cruise with views of landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, the Bay Bridge, and Pier 39 sea lions, all from the comfort of a boat with indoor and outdoor seating.
The time you select will be your Alcatraz ferry departure. The Alcatraz ferry departs from Pier 33.
You may take the Bay cruise on any day at any available departure time. These are 2 separate tours. Children 4 years and younger are free and do not need tickets.
For the Alcatraz Night tour, If you plan to take both tours on the same day, you must take the Bay Cruise before your Alcatraz tour.
The night tour is not available on Sundays and Mondays.

What To Expect
Alcatraz Island
Choose between a daytime tour or a special nighttime tour of Alcatraz. The nighttime tour includes a narrated cruise at sunset, cell door demonstrations, and talks from expert historians. For the Alcatraz Night tour ONLY: If you plan to take both tours on the same day, you must take the Bay Cruise before your Alcatraz tour. Otherwise, the Bay Cruise may be taken any other time or day according to the schedule. You will take a short ride on a ferry (15min) to Alcatraz Island from Pier 33. Enjoy a 45-minute immersive audio tour to listen to the incredible history of the infamous prison. After that, you have all the time you want to explore the rest of the island. Then you can take any ferry back to Pier 33. The ferry usually runs every 30 minutes. A multi-language audio tour included is now available in nine languages: English, Spanish, Mandarin, Italian, French, Japanese, Korean, German, Portuguese, and Dutch. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
San Francisco Bay
Take advantage of prime photo opportunities with unobstructed views in every direction aboard Blue & Gold Fleet’s 60-minute Bay Cruise Adventure. Sail past the famous PIER 39 sea lions and along San Francisco’s historic waterfront, revealing the city’s fascinating skyline. Cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge for a fantastic photo opportunity. This comfortable San Francisco Bay Cruise tour has both indoor and outdoor seating with full narration describing major landmarks as you sail by them. You haven’t experienced San Francisco until you’ve taken a Bay Cruise. The Bay Cruise departs from Pier 39. You may take the San Francisco Bay cruise anytime you choose. A schedule of departure times will be sent to you after booking.

5.00Great package tour that has great flexibility on visiting Alcatraz and taking a cruise on the bay! It was a bit cold on the bay cruise so definitely be sure to bundle up. The Alcatraz tour was also great and I liked how you could spend as much / as little time as you wanted on the island!

5.00Tour was very informative and staff was friendly and Professional. You learn a lot about the original mission of the island and it’s progression to Federal prison and then the impact it had on Native American civil rights which was something I was unaware of.

4.00There is more to Alcatraz than meets the eye. The interior shows the signs of time, and this visit was a spectacular follow-up after watching the movie, Escape from Alcatraz. Extra efforts were taken by Park Service to protect nature and wildlife. After seeing the multitude of seagulls in the recreation yard amd around the island, I think it should be renamed "Jailbird Island" 🐦 🐦⬛
If you want to read and visit everything take the day tour option.

4.00Very interesting audio tour of the cell block facility. It would be improved by having a similar audit history and structure when touring the rest of the island. Very interesting displays, but we were unable to read them all due to the boat schedule to return back to SF. In hindsight I would take the day option to have more time and there was no difference to the tour between day and night.
