Brilliant trip, Alexandria well worth a visit if you have time spare on your Cairo and Egypt trip. We had a private tour and our driver Ahmed Ali Ali gave us a tailored tour and covered all the sights and more. He even bought us an ice cream from a famous shop. Thank you for a memorable day.

Our day trip to Alexandria was outstanding. The driver was highly skilled and professional, navigating the city's intense traffic with remarkable ease. Our tour guide, Mohamed, was exceptionally cheerful and humorous, making the experience both enjoyable and engaging. He efficiently covered numerous sites within a short timeframe, demonstrating extensive knowledge and an excellent guiding style. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a well-organized and informative experience in Alexandria.

Alexandria is an interesting place and worth a visit. It is a quite a trip from Cairo and a long day. We were told to be ready to go at 7am. The night before this was brought forward to 6.30am - this was fine and we were ready. However, then we drove around Cairo doing 3 stops and picking up 7 more people - which should have been quicker than it was. But it took almost 2 hours - the Cairo tour leader seemed to be lost. The local Cairo guide then just left us, and we were guideless for the trip to Alexandria (3 hours) till another local Alexandria guide joined up there. The trip up was in a small van, hard seats and quite fast for the conditions. So we started the tour about an hour late because of stuffing about in Cairo, and it went on till about 6pm. The local guide was pleasant and knowledgeable, but there were a number of things we probably didn't need to see, or spend as much time at. I'd suggest it would be a better tour for all if the guide discussed guests interests and options and then ran the tour accordingly. At the end of the day, the tour participiants had to ask the guide to end the tour without a last stop. The trip back was another 3 hours followed by drop-offs in Cairo - making it a 16+ hour day...too long. Had the Cairo end of the tour been more efficient and on the ball, then I think the tour would have been OK - but we wasted many hours.

Well organized. Karim was a great guide. Not sure if lunch was considered but we asked for a stop and had a quick bite, so nothing to complain about.

Our guide Waleed at Alexandria was fantastic! He was so well prepared and explained to us so much history and interesting facts about every single place we visited and more. He absolutely knows his stuff!! Also the driver was very kind! Although the driver did not speak other languages he was very smiley and drived us safely and around with an amazing agility. Both, our guide and driver, stayed longer than planned with us in orther to make a full experience of Alexandria. We started very early at El Cairo where we were picked up close to our hotel and the driver picked up another small group of french and a couple of Spanish people. Then an agent took our names and left us alone with only the driver until we arrived at Alexandria and we picke up our guide Waleed. The tour was in English, and Waleed was super fluent in English and and expert egyptologist. He also told us facts about other European cultures related to the arguments he explained. The tour was great and absolutely recomended!!
