The Alhambra
The Alhambra, located on the Sabica hill, is an Andalusian palatine city. Its name comes from the reddish colour of its walls, coming from the clay of the land itself (Al-Hamra in Arabic). It is formed by a group of palaces, gardens and fortress where there was a citadel within the city of Granada itself, its main function was to serve as accommodation for the monarch and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. There are also Christian settlements, such as the palace of Charles V and the church of Santa Maria, built on top of the old mosque. It is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. Enjoy the visit with an official guide.

5.00Amazing tour company, easy to find, had the guide, spoke well English, friendly. Letty was amazing. Would go again with her for the tour as I loved Granada and Alhambra. I also added the menu, I thought you eat in Alhambra but it’s a restaurant right outside but it was convenient and the food was amazing. It’s not like the pics you see, it s delicious. Starter, mains, dessert and coffee. I was full. 10/10

5.00We were lucky that Jesus Prieto was our guide. He is very friendly, nice and capable. First he solved the admission problems that some members of the group had. He knows the place very well and is extremely cultured. He gave us understandable explanations, told stories, legends and even poems. He also answered all our questions honestly and directly. He is very attentive, he looks after the cultural heritage and his group. He is kind to the elderly and helps those who have movement difficulties. I highly recommend them.
