The Alhambra
The Alhambra, located on the Sabica hill, is an Andalusian palatine city. Its name comes from the reddish colour of its walls, coming from the clay of the land itself (Al-Hamra in Arabic). It is formed by a group of palaces, gardens and fortress where there was a citadel within the city of Granada itself, its main function was to serve as accommodation for the monarch and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. There are also Christian settlements, such as the palace of Charles V and the church of Santa Maria, built on top of the old mosque. It is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. Enjoy the visit with an official guide.

1.00Do not book if you expect a full Alhambra tour. While the website says the tour will include the Generalife or Nasrid Palaces, the staff assures you that both are included and you end up only being able to do the Generalife because spots fill up for the Nasrid Palaces. There was no language barrier creating any confusion as several people in my group are fluent Spanish speakers. If you want to do everything with top tour you need to buy their audio service plus the full Alhambra tour from the official site, a price that doubles up on a lot of features and far exceeds the price of the official full tour. There many reviews on here indicating that you can do both but that is untrue.

5.00Incredible historical site, combined with the guide we had, Juan Antonio, whose infinite knowledge and humor make the visit very enjoyable. Regarding the historical site, it is a pity that we cannot visit more areas that are closed to the public; the maintenance of the gardens is very good. We could not see the Lion's Courtyard due to a lack of tickets. Juan Antonio, the guide assigned to us, is amazing; it is clear that he possesses a lot of knowledge about the Alhambra, and I would say that he lives his work with passion, which makes his explanations very meticulous. Without a doubt, we will return and expand our visit to the areas we could not see.

5.00Alhambra is an experience of a lifetime. To be there in person was so exciting considering the history and the age. The gardens are fabulous. Our guide Borjas was one of the best I have ever had. He explained things simply and with humor adding his own interesting takes on things.

1.00Beware of the scam!!!! We paid 50 euros per person for full access to the Alhambra and were informed on the same day that the visit does not include the Nasrid Palace (the most important part). Do not make the same mistake and definitely do not go through them; they are thieves.

5.00IMO a guide is essential for this attraction. The Alhambra is an ancient walled city and is enormous. It takes up to 3 hours to get around and a guide definitely helps you navigate the route. If you are staying in the old town Granada, it is advisable to get a taxi up to the Alhambra as it is a steep uphill climb.

1.00We bought general tickets for 4 people, followed the steps on the website, they charged 556 euros to the card, we never received the email with the tickets, wrote to soporte@mytoptour.es, they kept us going in circles and so far they have not refunded our money. I can assure you that so far we have been robbed; surely we have already lost the tickets, we will not be able to enter, as there are no more available now, we are trying to get these thieves to return our money.

5.00We did the Albaicin and Sacromonte tour. Our guide was Carmen; an excellent route very well explained. Carmen was very professional, with great knowledge in her explanations and very patient with the group. I highly recommend doing the tour with her, for how comfortable she makes you feel during the 2-hour journey.
