In this one day tour in Athens, you will have the opportunity to see the Athens landmarks to visit the Famous Acropolis of Athens with the Parthenon and enjoy the afternoon tour to Cape Sounion - with the breathtaking view.

So you will discover Athens's Greatest Treasures such as the Parthenon. Explore the most important sites like the Greek Parliament, the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), the National Library, and the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.

Continue on with the visit Cape Sounion overlooking the Sea. You will possibly view the most beautiful sunset.

During our way to Sounion, we will stop at the Lake of Vouliagmeni. Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion was built in 44 B.C., and many of its original Doric columns are still standing.

This tour allows you to skip the hassle of finding your own way to Sounion so you can relax and enjoy a pre-planned activity or a delicious meal in a traditional restaurant with splendid sea views.

What To Expect

Acropolis

The Acropolis of Athens is a rocky hill 156 meters above sea level and approximately 70 meters above the level of the city of Athens. The Parthenon is a temple built in honor of the goddess Athena, patroness of the city of Athens. Τhe architects who worked were Iktinos, Kallikratis, and possibly Phidias (5th century BC). Finally, we will see the Erechtheion with the famous Karyatidis and the Propylaea.

Parthenon

The Parthenon is a temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. Its construction began in 447 BC and was completed in 438 BC, although decorations of the Parthenon continued until 432 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece, generally considered to be the culmination of the development of the Doric order. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art.

This was one of my favorite day trips in Greece. My 18 year old son loves history and we it was extraordinarily beautiful. We have a fabulous guide, Andreas, who made the day extra special with great care, knowledge and beautiful transportation. I would highly highly recommend doing this!!!

Fantastic half day private tour with Andreas to the Cape Sounio area was a relaxing escape from busy Athens driving along the beautiful coast arriving at the Temple of Poseidon which was perched on the tip with gorgeous views Andreas chose the perfect spot for lunch. Delicious seafood and amazing views. This was our second tour with Andreas and again he made the day memorable.We absolutely loved Greece and hope to return and discover more with his help.

This tour was the best decision to get to know Athens in a day, Andreas kept an eye on us all the time and was very attentive. It is totally worth the cost and you feel safe at all times. We booked the tour the same day and even though it was Sunday they did their best to make the most of it!

We booked this instead of doing a tour through the cruise line, and we were not disappointed. In one day we were able to see all of the sites that we wanted to. The drivers (Simos and Andreas) picked us up, and dropped us off, right at the ship. So convenient! The vans were very comfortable, clean, and nice. We went to see the temple of poseidon, had lunch at a great restaurant, went to the Acropolis, got to see the changing of the guard, the first Olympic stadium, the Temple of Zeus, etc. The drivers were both professional, but Andreas was very friendly and informative. We appreciated his cheerful attitude all day. We are thankful that we booked this. It was a wonderful day. If I'm ever lucky enough to be in Athens again, I will definitely book through this company. Excellent service. Thank you!

Andreas picked us up on time and in a luxury van at the hotel, we took advantage of every second of the day with his planning and perfect timing. Extraordinary attention and took great care of us. Super recommended.

The tour was amazing, Andreas was on time to pick us up (8 of us) and took us all day to all the sites. He was courteous, patient, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We took lots of pictures and was a very memorable trip. If you go to Athens, you need to book with them, will be the best decision!! :)

Tour was great and Kostas had a lot of knowledge for the Sounion. Definitely recommended. Kostas was absolutely fantastic!
