The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

Avoid crowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups with a handy private driver to take you to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Meet your local guide at 8am(or at a specific time according to your time schedule) and drive directly to Terracotta Warriors. You are expecting 7000 life size terracotta warriors all in the real battle formation, which were buried underground over 2200 years (recommended visiting time: 2.5 hours with lots of flat walking). The Museum visit includes three original pits, Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe and Pit 3 as Command center. There is also an exhibition hall for different exhibitions from time to time. This is definitely a treasure house to study the history of the first dynasty of China, the Qin Dynasty. After the visit, have a local lunch at your own cost or watch an optional cultural show or drop you off at your hotel.

Wendy has an incredible amount of knowledge when it comes to the Terracotta Army - She explained everything so clearly and made sure that we visited all of the best areas and best viewing spots. She made every minute count. Wendy is very friendly, her English is excellent and she even went out of her way to recommend and help me find a superb roast duck restaurant after the tour. I would thoroughly recommend Wendy for anyone considering a visit to the Terracotta Army!

My guide, Becky, was very professional and knows her stuff. From hotel pickup and drop off to the tour of the museum and a local lunch it was exceptional. The museum is one of those bucket list destinations and no surprises it’s very popular. Becky made it a great day.

We did a half day tour to see the Terracotta Warriors. Our guide Rocky was very knowledgeable, personable, kind, fun and energetic. He answered all of our questions and showed us the small details that we would have missed. It is obvious he truly enjoys being a guide. We also had a fantastic driver. I had wanted to come see the Terracotta Warriors for years and he made sure that we had a fantastic day! We would highly recommend that everyone let Rocky be your guide.

We had a fantastic experience visiting the Terracotta Warriors with our guide, Wendy. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared so many fascinating details about the history and discovery of the site. Wendy kept the tour well-paced and organized, making sure we had plenty of time to explore and take photos without ever feeling rushed. She also gave great recommendations for local food and other things to see in Xi’an. Overall, Wendy made the visit both educational and enjoyable, we’d highly recommend her to anyone visiting Xi’an

  • An unforgettable day with the warriors.

An enjoyable and educational day was spent visiting the terracotta warriors from Xi’an. From the history of the Qin dynasty and the formation of modern day China, to the discovery of the warriors and the painstaking efforts of restoration, our guide Wendy, led us from one pavilion to the next explaining with great detail information we may have missed. Although it was a wet day we were quickly led through the lines for a memorable experience.

We had a really good tour of the terracotta warriors with our tour guide. Wendy was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience enjoyable. Her English is also. Dry good. She went out of the way to drop us after the tour at the Muslim quarter as well. We would highly recommend a private tour with her.
