What To Expect
Departing from Cruz bay allows us a wonderful day on the water and multiple options for destinations as well. St. John's protected western shoreline provides the perfect venue for our small parties to enjoy the serene, blue, waters to relax and sunbathe or take the helm of custom built Power Catamaran. We will set our course for a protected bay on one of the many cays nearby for a quiet secluded anchorage. At this first stop you will be fitted with the equipment needed to enjoy amazing snorkeling. After snorkeling, swimming and enjoying the sun for a while we head to a second stop where you will be able to swim with more amazing sea life and comb the white sandy beaches of some of the most incredible shoreline on the planet. A full lunch will be available as well. Our relaxed itinerary and this optimized schedule allows for our day sail to finish in Cruz bay with plenty of time for an afternoon happy hour.

Powered Charter - Great Way to visit St John!

5.00Had an excellent day with Bo on a powered charter. The boat was a comfortable way to get around - my teens especially enjoyed lounging in bean bag chairs in the front of the boat in the sun. Great way to see St John and get to great snorkel spots. Lunch at Lovango Beach Resort was delicious and offered great options for everyone in our group. The boat charter was definitely the highlight of our trip and we would recommend to everyone!

5.00Excellent last minute trip to cap off a fabulous week on St.John. We had done a BVI trip earlier in the week and wanted to try a private trip with just our family. Mike and crew were so accommodating to our requests. We had a really fun day hitting some different spots with amazing snorkeling. Would book this trip again in a heartbeat. Very professional and highly recommend.

5.00Captain Mike was great. A very approachable and informative guide. Everyone that wanted to got a chance to say they have sailed a boat on the Caribbean seas. He also is a great bartender. Don’t miss out on the vanilla killa and lime in a coconut!! Amazing snorkeling in Caneel Bay!! Just a great day!!

5.00We spent the day on Morning star sailboat going to two different snorkeling places with our 3 kids (8,11,14). The captain was a great host and very kind. He taught each of our children how to sail the boat. The catered food from the deli was a hit and the drinks on board were delicious. We’ll be coming back 😊

5.00We had such a great experience with Captain Mike and crew. We are a family of 4 with two younger kids (5,8) and they couldn’t have been nicer with us. My kids wanted to swim with turtles so they took us to a great spot - we made a few stops along the way to get the most out of our charter and it was one of our favorite days on St. John. They were super friendly and knowledgeable - I would highly recommend and go back.

Captain Mike is not just an experienced, safe boat captain but such a wonderful guy... our group had a fabulous day on the ocean- he tailors the trip to what you want to do- snorkel, cruise, whatever. We will definitely come back to St John and repeat this sailing experience.

5.00Mike was the BEST captain. He is very knowledgeable about the island and knows all the best snorkel spots! He was very accommodating and made sure our comfort and safety came first! Will definitely do a tour with Morningstar charters when we come back. Definitely suggest this trip for anyone who loves to be on the water!

5.00What a great day we had with Capt. Mike! Not only is he an excellent sailor he is a wonderful host. We were a party of 2 couples and had all been to STJ before. After making sure we were familiar with the boat and offering drinks & snacks he set out. As others have mentioned, Mike is a very good conversationalist so we immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. The weather that day was overcast & windy and the sailing was terrific. We stopped at Mary Point for some snorkeling and then returned to the boat for lunch, sandwiches from North Shore deli - a favorite of ours prior to this trip. They tasted delicious as we sat out a rain squall inside the boat. The rain soon cleared up and we headed over to Francis Bay where we snorkeled again this time with some sea turtles. The day was a highlight of what was a wonderful week on our favorite island. Oh, if you go (and you should) make sure to try Mike's signature painkiller, it will make you forget all your cares.
