What To Expect
60 minute experience trekking with our alpacas or donkeys across the beautiful Wetley Moor Common learning about, meeting and walking our animals, with plenty of photo opportunities (including a health and safety talk). Alpaca Trekking is Suitable for all ages, donkey walkers must be aged 12+. Under 2s can join free of charge but must be in a carrier as the moor is not suitable for pushchairs.

5.00Did an hour donkey trekking and feeding experience with Rachel. Rachel was lovely and really knowledgeable, going through the donkey’s life. The weather wasn’t great so the little animals weren’t out but I would definitely go again as had a fabulous time

5.00We had a wonderful time with Rachel and Amy today, alongside Harley, Austin, Teddy, Peanut, and Marmite. Rachel and Amy were super knowledgeable and fantastic guides. The alpacas and donkeys were very gentle and sweet walking companions
We absolutely loved this activity. The alpacas are wonderful. As are the staff.

5.00Fantastic experience feeding and trekking with the alpacas. The alpacas are very friendly and happy to be petted, so you get a hands on experience. Ruby is a wonderful and informative guide. She was also very understanding when we had to change our booking. We would highly recommend this experience to everyone.
Definitely give this a go, it’s wonderful!

5.00We went on the Alpaca trek for my wife’s 60th birthday and she loved it. The Alpacas were well behaved and the weather was lovely and sunny, we had a lovely walk on Wetley moor and finished feeding them their treat. Everything was spot on and Rachel was very knowledgable and made us feel relaxed. Thanks for a great time and we will return.

5.00Me and my wife received this experience as a Christmas gift and took it at the end April this year, we had an amazing time with the two gorgeous boys Pickle and Bertie. We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely experience and would definitely do it again, highly recommend for all ages. Rachel is very friendly and informative and answers any questions you wish to ask. 5.00Absolutely incredible experience! Rachel was so lovely and informative with information about the alpacas and donkeys and knew them so well. There wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer. We went for the alpaca walk on our anniversary and had such a great time. Wetley Moors is also so beautiful and the animals genuinely enjoyed the walk (stopping for snacks along the way!). It’s lovely to see what the proceeds go towards as the animals are so well cared for and the souvenirs really help them too (who can resist an alpaca fridge magnet?!). This experience exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely love to visit again if we find ourselves up north again! Thank you so much!

5.00Absolutely loved my day with Peanut and Marmite (donkeys). We were spoilt in that there was only my husband and I with donkeys and another couple with alpacas, so we had the best of both worlds! It really was a workout, donkeys are so strong, if they want to graze believe me they graze, but just so adorable. Our guide Rachel was delightful and so informative. After the trek we opted to feed the donkeys and then handled a baby lop eared rabbit. We also saw a rescue horse and some very friendly goats, to be honest it was just wonderful. Thoroughly recommend this experience.
