Epic day trip to the archaeological site of Pompeii and the picturesque Amalfi Coast, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Travel in a Semi Private Tour of no more than 6-7 people per air-conditioned minivan with a tour assistant. The tour will start from the hotel, en route for a breakfast or snack. The first stop is Pompeii, our official guide will take you to visit the main areas such as the Macellum, the Baths, the areas where the Romans gathered and the homes of wealthy citizens to learn about their customs and traditions. After Pompeii, we will head to Positano, an ancient fishing village. Stop for lunch, visit, shopping and relaxation. Continue to Amalfi, admire the famous Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, visit the oldest paper mill in Europe, taste the famous local liqueur "Limoncello" and their delicious desserts: Babà, Sfogliatella, Pastiera Napoletana. Continuing along the Amalfi Coast we will return to Rome bringing with you images and scenarios that you will remember forever.

Dina was an excellent guide and our Driver was also excellent. It was a very interesting tour and they both made sure we were comfortable. Our guide in Pompeii was also very knowledgeable. One of our favorite days we spent.

The return traffic can be extensive (6 hours for us). Nothing that Viator can do about it, of course, but it is good to know in advance of this potential delay.

We were picked up by our tour guide, Yara, and driver and they stopped for us to buy breakfast about 25 minutes into the trip. When we reached Pompeii, we had guide Hector to take us around the site. Then we made our way to Positano for lunch and shopping. The restaurant Yara recommended was very good, but pricey. Before leaving Positano, we did a limoncello tasting. We cruised the Amalfi coast on the drive home and stopped at a small town for a quick walk on the beach. There is a lot of car time but that is just what it takes to get to the three locations.

We had the most incredible and unforgettable experience exploring the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, all thanks to our amazing guide Joseph (Giuseppe), our skilled driver Jordan, and the exceptional tour guide in Pompeii, Miriam. Joseph was not only knowledgeable and passionate, but also went above and beyond to make our trip special. He helped us secure reservations at a fantastic restaurant and even arranged a lemoncello tasting in a charming little town along the coast – a truly unique highlight of the day! Jordan expertly navigated the winding roads of the Amalfi Coast with ease and professionalism, allowing us to sit back, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking views without a worry. Our tour of Pompeii with Miriam was equally impressive – she brought the ancient ruins to life with her expertise, storytelling, and warm personality. Everything about this experience was seamless, enriching, and full of special moments we’ll never forget. Highly, highly recommend this team if you’re looking for a truly authentic and memorable journey through this beautiful region of Italy!
