The Amalfi Coast can be complicated and time-consuming to visit on your own. Taking a shared minivan or minibus is the simplest and most affordable way to enjoy the sights. This eight/nine-hour trip begins in Sorrento and heads south for the breathtaking drive (lightly narrated by your driver-or narrated by your guide), and an hour or two in each of the three main towns - Positano, Amalfi and Ravello - before returning to Sorrento.

What To Expect
Positano
Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.
Amalfi Coast
The gem of Amalfi is the oldest of Italy’s maritime republics. Whitewashed homes dotting the hillside are illuminated by the abundant sunshine that bathes the city. The basilica’s cupola is a reference to the Sicilian -Arabic influence that once dominated the area. For centuries it has been a popular destination due to its natural beauty and ideal climate.

5.00The trip to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello was wonderful. I think it got better and better with each place! In the off-season, none of the towns were overcrowded. A big thank you to Vincenzo and Domenico for the many fascinating insights into the region and the safe journey!

4.00Our tour guide Eddie was friendly and informative, it was a wise choice joining a tour group with a skillful driver like Eddie rather than having to navigate the windy roads of Amalfi coast ourselves. Our group was small with 7 people, we stopped for 1-1.5 hours at each town. Would have loved slightly more time as we spent time having lunch as well. Will aspire to come back again for another visit in the future, but during warmer weather as it was raining half the time during our trip in November

5.00Had a great time! Our tour guide Eddie was very friendly and answered a lot of our questions. He was very accommodating. Recommend to bring an umbrella if you are visiting during fall/winter - it could rain at a moments notice.

5.00What a fabulous tour! Our tour guide, Micheline, was such a joy and a wealth of knowledge. Her sense of humor was a PURE delight. She imparted so much information and historical data. The towns that we visited were some of the best we have seen. Micheline’s private tours in the towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello were excellent. She knew every nook and cranny, and it seemed that everybody knew her! Thank you, Micheline and Gennaro

5.00We booked a small private tour of 7 people with the services of a guide for the day, it was well worth it! We had arranged to do the visit on our last day inn Sorrento and it was a beautiful way to end our stay there. The whole area is charming, with such beautiful views and stunning scenery. We took a short boat tour around the coast, then visited Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. All places were beautiful, scenic, chic and full of interest. My favourite was Ravello, the sense of beauty, culture and calm there was palpable. Our guide was very good and knowledgeable but allowed us to spend independent time exploring. We had a lovely lunch in the square with the cathedral in the background and the atmosphere was beautiful. Everywhere we looked there were stunning views. It’s no wonder that this area is beloved of celebrities, film stars, authors, artists, musicians and poets in the past and present. What a gorgeous way to end our holiday in and around Sorrento.

5.00Absolutely excellent trip to see the Amalfi coast with our wonderful guide Mary, who was so knowledgeable and spoke perfect English, and expert driver Domenico, in whose hands we felt very safe on the windy, narrow coastal roads. I picked this trip for the generous amount of time in beautiful, quiet Ravello which was my favourite town. All 3 stops on the tour had a good amount of time, the coastal path has stunning views by bus, and Mary explained special points of interest in great detail. Overall, a brilliant experience I would highly recommend to anyone!
