The Amalfi Coast can be complicated and time-consuming to visit on your own. Taking a shared minivan or minibus is the simplest and most affordable way to enjoy the sights. This eight/nine-hour trip begins in Sorrento, Naples, Salerno and heads south for the breathtaking drive (lightly narrated by your driver-or narrated by your guide), and an hour or two in each of the three main towns - Positano, Amalfi and Ravello - before returning to Sorrento, Naples, Salerno.

What To Expect
Positano
Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.
Amalfi Coast
The gem of Amalfi is the oldest of Italy’s maritime republics. Whitewashed homes dotting the hillside are illuminated by the abundant sunshine that bathes the city. The basilica’s cupola is a reference to the Sicilian -Arabic influence that once dominated the area. For centuries it has been a popular destination due to its natural beauty and ideal climate.

4.00The Amalfi Coast tour was absolutely amazing. So much to see. The drive was very interesting with the road cut into the mountain side and so many turns. The driver was fabulous. Our guide was a world of knowledge. We just wished she didn't feel the need to keep us entertained the entire 8 hours of the tour.

5.00Tour guide Michelina was very knowledgable with the area and provided all the history as we traveled down the coast. I would have liked a bit more time in Positano but otherwise the tour was very easy and an amazing way to see the Amalfi Coast.

4.00We were in a small group of 5 which was ideal. The mini van/bus wasn’t equipped with a PA so those at the back struggled to hear the driver. We were expecting, as per the listing, to hear fun facts and stories about the coastal region along the way but all we got was information about lemons. The driver was good and was willing to stop for us to take pictures as long as it was safe to do so. We got enough time at each of the stops to look around and grab something to eat and drink.

5.00Our tour guide, Alfonso was wonderful. We loved him! He was so knowledgeable about the towns we were going to and gave us time in each town to explore on our own. He set up a fabulous lunch for us in Ravello which we would've otherwise never known about or gone to. It was a wonderful day.

Alfonso was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He went above and beyond—offering flexibility throughout the day, sharing insightful information at every stop, and giving us fantastic recommendations for things to do and places to eat during the rest of our stay in Italy. I’m sure the standard tour would have been enjoyable, but Alfonso elevated it into something truly special. Thanks to him, this became a trip we’ll always remember.

5.00Our trip along the Amalfi coast was amazing! It started with our driver Eduardo who we can’t recommend enough. Eduardo made sure to point out all the sites along the drive, made stops to show us the best lemoncello (informing us of the different lemons that exist in the region) in Positano, we stopped off for an hour be told where to get the best pictures. On our way out he stopped out of the way because the opportunity for a great family picture came up. He was extremely informative and very friendly! When we arrived at pompeii he connected us with our guide Andrea who was absolutely amazing. Walking through the ruins he broke down what each area was and what took place. He answered all our questions, took pictures for us and made it really fun. Both Eduardo and Andrea were super accommodating of our 3 year old son and moved at his pace when needed. We highly recommend this tour!
