The Amalfi Coast can be complicated and time-consuming to visit on your own. Taking a shared minivan or minibus is the simplest and most affordable way to enjoy the sights. This eight/nine-hour trip begins in Sorrento and heads south for the breathtaking drive (lightly narrated by your driver-or narrated by your guide), and an hour or two in each of the three main towns - Positano, Amalfi and Ravello - before returning to Sorrento.

What To Expect
Positano
Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.
Amalfi Coast
The gem of Amalfi is the oldest of Italy’s maritime republics. Whitewashed homes dotting the hillside are illuminated by the abundant sunshine that bathes the city. The basilica’s cupola is a reference to the Sicilian -Arabic influence that once dominated the area. For centuries it has been a popular destination due to its natural beauty and ideal climate.

5.00I am writing to thank Roberto for the wonderful experience we had with him touring the Amalfi Coast. From his call the night before to make certain we were aware of the meeting time and place, to his warm greeting, wonderful narration as we drove (my husband and I both began our careers as teachers so we were particularly impressed by someone who could skillfully tell stories while carefully following all the traffic laws along the coast for as many hours as we were driving!). Roberto provided small snacks along the way, and recommended timing choices for us at our various stops to maximize our enjoyment. He even dropped each person off at their respective hotel at the end. Despite the sheer drop offs in many spots, I always felt safe and Roberto was unfailingly kind and courteous. What a lovely and unforgettable time we had! Thank you, Mondo! Thanks again, Roberto!

5.00What a fun adventure! Three cities in one day. Plenty of time to explore on your own. On the way, stop to take pictures at amazing vistas. The guide was great- explaining the history and mythology of the region.

5.00We enjoyed this tour and Vincenzo (guide) and Pietro driver) both did an excellent job. Potentially this is a long day with lots of driving, but the timing of the stops and suggestions for activities worked well. The web site for booking was easy to use and communications were excellent. The size of the group was reasonable and the bus comfortable. We recommend this tour with Mondo.

5.00Lovely tour and beautiful places to visit. Our tour guide Vincenzo was fantastic. Very informative, funny and caring. Our driver Domingo did a great job getting us there over the winding mountain roads and quite a bit of traffic. The places and views were gorgeous and the joking and humor between Vincenzo & Domingo was very entertaining. Let me not forgot the music for the ride home. Was a great time. Don’t miss and let Vincenzo know his English is molto bene.

5.00The Mondo tour we had to Amalfi coast was exceptional. Our guide, Meri, was knowledgeable, able to answer questions, and just made the trip fun! We visited Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello......all in a day. This tour would have been difficult by private car due to the narrow roads and traffic. The bus driver was excellent at navigating and even sang when we were stopped in traffic!! Vince, the coordinator, is great about responding. We highly recommend the Mondo Amalfi tour for its thorough planning, sights, and for the reasonable cost.
