  It’s fabulous. What a terrific experience! Italy is beautiful! Our guide (Laura) and driver (Max) were amazing. So knowledgeable!!! Max’s driving skills are outstanding. Highly recommend!

• Amazing people made the experience, but some things to know

  First and foremost, this tour was very well organized and run by genuinely friendly people. If I could rate the people alone, it would easily be five stars. Flavio and Pop, our “roadway gladiator,” were absolutely amazing and the highlight of the entire trip. They brought great energy, kept everyone engaged, and truly made the experience memorable. That said, there are a few things worth knowing before you book. The service station stop before Pompeii felt like a complete rip-off. Prices were extremely inflated, like €4 for a Coke Zero and stale croissants at high prices. It really felt like these stops are set up to take advantage of tour groups, and I wish the company would choose better options for their customers. They also offer a pizza/pasta lunch for about $18 before leaving Pompeii. It was mediocre at best. I’d recommend skipping it and grabbing something quick in Sorrento instead, much better options there. The AC on the bus wasn’t working, so it did get pretty warm, but the guides handled it well and opening the windows helped. Just something to be aware of. Also, the drive from Pompeii to Sorrento took longer than expected due to traffic, so plan for more than the advertised 30 minutes. The limoncello factory was closed since we went on Easter Sunday. We were taken to a shop instead. It felt a bit touristy, and I’m honestly not sure if everything was truly locally made, but the drinks were actually great. I had a limoncello slushie and it was delicious. Overall, the experience was made by the incredible guides. Just go in with the right expectations on the extras and stops along the way.

  Mixed feelings about this trip. Parts were exceptional and parts felt like a waste of time. Very long drive but the driver did a terrific job on those twisted, narrow roads and navigating heavy traffic. Sorrento was fantastic but 1 hour and 40 min is simply not enough. Same story with Pompeii, lots was missed. What truly left a sour taste was the way they handled food order. Our guide Valentina, mentioned lunch to be served later in the day and gave 2 options, pizza and pasta. It almost sounded that everyone had to get something. Then later, after our Pompeii tour we made a stop and grabbed our food orders at a nearby restaurant. The food was so overpriced and of the school lunch quality - cold and tasteless. Worst pizza and pasta we had in a long time. They also basically made you get a drink with every order, ignoring the fact that we had our own drinks already and requested not to purchase any, costing $100 for 5 people. The staff working in restaurant were rude and unpleasant. Recommend skipping this lunch all together and adding time to Sorrento or at least considering a different venue and disclosing the lunch stop in the description of the tour and the cost for low quality and cold meal so people can make a decision rather than pushed to buy. All in all, a decent tour but not terrific.

  Not as advertised. Promised 2 hours at Pompeii, got just over 1 hour. The guide at Pompeii did not have a flag, and we lost her in the first 5 minutes. We did find her a few minutes later. Was promised 3 hours at Sorrento, got 1 hour 20 minutes. Was promised 40 minutes at the limoncello tasting, got 19. Overall, felt rushed. The bus did not have a restroom or usb ports for cell phones. The only positives were the guide and the bus driver who worked real hard for us.

  This was a 10/10 experience. Everything ran seamlessly, and it was great to sit back and let someone else orchestrate our day! We got to see so many wonderful things in 1 day, which would not have been easy to organize on our own, so the trip was worth it for that alone. Our bus tour guide, Errica, was wonderful - she was chock full of fun facts and interesting information about the history of Italy and the areas we were visiting, and we really loved learning from her. Additionally, she was hilarious and had us laughing the whole day. Our Pompeii guide, Carlo, was also funny and knowledgeable and told us so many interesting facts as we perused Pompeii. The drive along the Amalfi Coast was out of a dream - sparkling waters, lemon farms, blooming flowers, and charming villas. It felt like driving through a movie. It was only a taste of Sorrento & Pompeii and left us wanting to come back and spend more time in the area! We are so glad we did the tour.

  it was super fun! Our tour guide, Johnathan was extremely helpful and he made these little jokes along the trip that kept us entertained. Very charismatic. The trip itself was amazing. We got to take pictures and we had little breaks to eat, explore ourselves and go to the toilet. Overall I would 100% recommend to book if you’re staying for a short time because you get to explore the roots of the Romans and one of the greatest natural disasters in recorded human history all in a day!

  Did the Pompei and Sorrento day trip from Rome and wow, it was a great day. Easy to book, and constantly updated via WhatsApp. Valentina Brandi was knowledgeable and great, as well as the tour guide in Pompeii. Hats off to Sejio the coach driver. Thanks all!

  It was a great time!! I would have preferred more time at the lemoncello factory than the gas station stop to & from, but overall, a great experience.
