Archaeological Park of Pompeii
Departing from central Rome to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii, a once-bustling port city buried for hundreds of years under a blanket of volcanic ash. An expert local guide will lead you through this fascinating archaeological site. With homes and places of work all frozen in time, just as they were when Mt. Vesuvius erupted and annihilated the city, it’s an incredible window into ordinary Italian life centuries ago. Please note that Pompeii is not visited if you select the Positano & Sorrento Option !

4.00This was a great day to see Pompeii, learn its history and explore the vastness of it. The trip to Sorrento was quick, hour and a half exploring on your own. It was simply gorgeous. Wish we had known they would stop part way through the drive for bathrooms, drinks and food, that would have been helpful to know before we left. Great day overall!

5.00My friend Kevin and I had a fantastic day trip to the Amalfi Coast, and all the credit must go to Patrizia! She was a fabulous host and guide on this excursion. She brought the experience to life in a big way. She was so funny, so knowledgeable, had the most amazing personality, and even paid for us to use the rest room when we'd run out of Euros to pay for it ourselves! She really went above and beyond to make the trip that extra bit special and we could not have asked for a better person to lead us on this amazing day out! 5 out of 5 stars for Patrizia and we would book again in a heartbeat if we knew she was going to be our tour guide again!

5.00This is an absolutely amazing tour. Antonino led the tour and is very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver Paolo made the trip feel very safe. The history of Pompeii and the scenery of Positano are absolutely breathtaking, Overall in highly recommend this tour!

We actually originally booked the Pompeii day trip with lunch, but when it was cancelled the day before, CityWonders offered to put us on this tour as an alternative! We were hesitant as it seemed to be a lot for one day- but we are so happy we did it! Marius was an incredible guide and kept us all so entertained on the drive to and from. You’re given around 2 hours of free time in sorrento which was enough to see the main sight and grab a great lunch! Our guide in Pompeii was also so engaging and funny and made our time there so meaningful. I would recommend this tour if you want a taste of the coast!
