Explore Taal Volcano on a Scenic Boat Tour Around Taal Lake

Embark on an unforgettable journey to Taal Volcano, one of the Philippines' most iconic and active volcanoes. Enjoy hotel pickup and drop-off from Manila, and learn about Taal’s history, including the dramatic 2020 eruption that sent ash plumes as far as Manila, forcing over 150,000 people to evacuate.

Your adventure begins with a drive to Tagaytay City, where you’ll stop at Tagaytay Picnic Grove, 665 meters above sea level. Enjoy breathtaking views of Taal Volcano rising majestically from the lake, and capture the perfect photo with your driver’s help.

At Taal Lake, take a small-group boat ride (max of 5 people plus local guide for safety) with a local guide who will point out significant sites on Volcano Island. Get up close to the steaming volcano, learn about its ongoing activity (currently under Alert Level 1), and enjoy stunning panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscape before returning to your hotel.

The guide was really nice and it was a breathtaking experience. The way from the hotel was a bit long, but it was worth it. We arrived at the location of the volcano, first we saw it from above, and then we went on a boat trip that took about two hours. We took a tour and the boat driver explained everything to us. Highly recommended!

I was looking for something unique that was kind of close to Manila and stumbled across this. Perfect. I booked at 11:00 at night and Carlo was there at 5:20am as promised. Wow, great service. It's a two hour ride south to the Taal lookout. Awesome. Lots of scenery along the way. Carlo is an extremely safe driver, and made appropriate pit stops. Patient, friendly and conversational the entire time. A ride down the mountain to the dock where a tour guide, Van, and a pilot, Runell, loaded us into an outrigger and drove us around the ACTIVE VOLCANO, providing commentary all along the way. Although the water was choppy the boat was pretty stable. If you're adventurous this is great, if not, this might not be for you. My scaredy cat girlfriend made it through the two hour boat ride just fine. It was very beautiful, pretty fun, and unique. Altogether an eight hour adventure. Drop off back at my hotel. Glad I did this.

Very good experience, our Allan Guide of 10, attentive, friendly and chatty. Try to make your tour more enjoyable (the traffic jams on the way out and especially back to Manila are considerable). I don't put a five because we're an adventurous SCCP and we would have liked to climb the crater, which for sure you haven't done since the last eruption. But the service and treatment of both Allan and our boatman was for 5/5.

Alan was a great tour guide, and along the way he shared a lot of the history and history of the Philippines and the volcanic eruption. As we traveled around the volcano on a local boat, the captain was enthusiastic to help us take pictures and answer our questions so we could get a better understanding of the local life! Although the price is high but highly recommended!

Loved the 2 hours boat experience in the lake that took us around the Taal Volcano. Nice to see 100’s of fishing nets and all the fishermen in the lake. Wish we could hike inside the crater but it was prohibited currently due to volcanic activity!
