Best tour we’ve ever had in Lancaster. Kent was knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. No I do not have to add 14 letters.

We started out with a tour of the Amish homestead, stopped at a roadside store that sold homemade goods and ice cream. Stopped along the way to see some of the men working the field either their horses and mules. Got to tour a replica of the Amish home. Also watched a good film telling about their way of life and dedication to their family and community. Was very interesting to see them work and how they keep their land so beautifully.

Did the farmland only tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. Pickup was on time in 14 passenger bus. I would recommend the tour.

Lots of insight into the Lancaster Amish Mennonite community. Beautiful views, the bus is comfortable and has seatbelts. Loved the roadside souvenir stops.

We would recommend this van trip to everyone- well worth admission price! Our guide grew up among Amish folks and respectfully shared her knowledge.

The tour name suggested there would be more discussion on the farming practices and the landscape, whereas this was a very minor part of the tour - and I'm unsure if it would have been covered at all if I had not asked the questions. We heard more about the schooling than we did about the farming - I had not booked the school experience as I am not interested in this! A small amount of the additional informational was interesting however the in-depth detail on other things was not what I expected. The guides knowledge was also very disappointing and there were quite a few things she said which we questioned, later researching ourselves and found it was incorrect information. The guide seemed to go with the approach of sounding confident and hoping that it wouldn't be questioned. Most of what she covered was pointing out the different businesses on the route - which simply involved reading out signs on the ends of drives. We felt very nosy throughout the tour - especially when the guide was pointing out specific individuals who were going about their normal life e.g. drawing everyone's attention to people sat outside having a picnic! It may have just been the particular guide we had but personally the price was excessive for what was offered and I would not recommend the tour if you are interested in the farming practices and landscape.
