I loved the true spirit of all the cruise people but I felt it lacked in seeing very much. Having taken a prior cruise and knowing what information was out there, I was disappointed. I had to tell my friend about the left out information, such as: how many bikes are fished out, how many poles the city is built on, the 7 bridges, the smallest house, Anne Frank etc.... I felt like it was way too short and way too much yappy yap instead of informative. The price was not worth it. The plate of cheese I shared with my friend was about 12 little pieces each (size of a pea) of only 2 kinds of cheese. I think they should have talked about the cheese (where did it come from and what kind, was it their own local cheese or not)... The wine was lovely and plentiful. The cruise employee was more interested in connecting with everyone (like. social hour cruise) verses telling us about Amsterdam. I would not book this cruise again because I didn't book it for wine but for the view and knowledge of the city. I would recommend to have a lot of information about the city, make sure to hit the key sites and not just go up and down 2 canals and then call it a day. I could pay a private boat to have done that.

Site of tour is an hour away from the cruise dock requiring bus and train transit. The tour was great once we got there.

The day we had our canal cruise was a very busy port day, so LOTS of people were in the downtown area. The pickup place for the canal cruise had overflowing trash everywhere. There were boats going every direction in the canals. The woman doing our cruise ( Katie??) made sure after we were all seated that she brushed her hair right in a customers face and was putting on her lip gloss while talking to us when the cruise started. Not very professional or appealing. She gave us some “fun facts” about Amsterdam but there was so much more she could have shared instead of chatting up customers. When our captain was asked questions, he shared more interesting facts about Amsterdam. The wine was cheap wine and we were served cheese and a small cup of mustard on a wooden cutting board. Unfortunately we seemed to go on a very busy evening and this affected our overall experience.

A great tour for the price. Kevin (our guide) was amazing. Lots of wine and beer to enjoy while learning about the city. Arrive early for the best seating.
