We booked this cruise with Boat Amsterdam because they offered a departure location most convenient to where we are staying in Rembrandtplein, and because of the excellent reviews. We thought we were going on a medium size enclosed boat because the weather was forecast to be very cloudy and cool. However by this afternoon it became quite sunny and warm, and there was a fairly small group of passengers, so we were happily given a small open boat instead. Captain Flores and guide Louie made us feel welcome and well cared for, entertained and informed. The price was very reasonable, and included beverages (wine, beer, sodas, water) which we hadn't expect). If this is a good location for you, don't hesitate to book this canal cruise!

We had a fabulous, fun and informative open-air canal boat tour with Heineken Flagship cruises. Our guides were Leon and Rick who were interesting and funny. It was a beautiful and entertaining experience. Highly recommend. You can reserve ahead online or purchase your ticket at the dock (which is what we did, and were able to get right on a boat!)

Wonderful mix of history and stories along with light conversation to allow each individual enjoy the view. Unlike a lord of tours this one is not a platform for the guides to practice their latest comedy routines.

Great ride, the team was very nice and the tour was in English. You could see some sights and additionally always ask questions.

Amsterdam canal cruise highly recommended. The guides are very friendly and fun. If you want to know a little more about the ins and outs of the city, this is a good option.

Trip was cancelled the night before by the Company, because there was not enough people . This was disappointing and I am now waiting for a full refund

What a wonderful way to spend an hour, the team were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Toby was our trainee guide and Jasmine our trainee pilot / guide trainer. We didn’t catch our skipper’s name. We were very lucky - it was a freezing, rainy afternoon so we had the boat to ourselves. We did a loop of the centre, travelling down to the Open Havenfront area and back, passing Chinatown, the red light distinct, De Oude Kerk, the dancing houses and much more. The team were chatty and knowledgeable, telling us about local history and landmarks. The start / end point is located on the Amstel by the Hart museum. Our boat was smaller than the huge ones you often see, so we could go down the narrowest canal by the Laatste Kruim. With hot tea and coffee included and comfy seating with blankets, we were very pleased we chose Boat Amsterdam for our tour. We just walked up and paid €22.50 but it looks like it’s cheaper if you buy online.

We landed up being in the wrong place because of bad communication by the provider of the canal tour and therefore missed the trip. I messaged two days before asking for clarification, when the office was said to be open, but no-one replied for 2 days, by which time it was too late. Also the telephone number does not work.

It was a fun trip. Our captain Michel and co captain Floris were the best. Both of them have lots of info about the city. They were funny too.

While eating lunch, I made a last minute booking for the tour that starts in front of the H’art Museum. Location was perfect. Weather was unusually perfect as well. I’ve been on many canal tours in Amsterdam and boat kaptein Michiel and his crewmate were fantastisch !! Entertaining, funny, and many facts about Amsterdam (and the bits over the Dutch language) that I found very interesting. I brought my mom with for the tour and she loved it ! I would choose this same company again 10/10 - top cruise choice.
