What To Expect
The reason the houses in Amsterdam are tilted is because of the soil. The city is built on marshlands, which means that everything heavy sinks right into the soil. Therefore, we started to build upon wooden poles to reach a deeper and more sturdy layer of soil that could support the heavy houses.

5.00It was a very calm and nice boat ride. Our tour guides Arnoud and Vincent gave us a good portion of the history of Amsterdam. We enjoyed the jokes and tour and leave with more knowledge of the beautiful Amsterdam. We recommend a tour with these two guides.
