What To Expect
The reason the houses in Amsterdam are tilted is because of the soil. The city is built on marshlands, which means that everything heavy sinks right into the soil. Therefore, we started to build upon wooden poles to reach a deeper and more sturdy layer of soil that could support the heavy houses.

5.00This is a beautiful evening experience! My husband and I booked it with our best couple friends and all four of us agreed it was a fantastic way to enjoy Amsterdam. Every course of food was exquisite and the wine pairings were perfect. Our musical entertainment was delightful and the captain was a great conversationalist who shared fun stories and about his life as a beginning mariner. The boat is BEAUTIFUL and the 3 staff members are delightful. Being able to sit outside on back of the boat as we traveled was so nice, and returning to our beautiful table and enjoying amazing food and conversation made this a complete top level experience.

5.00Frans and Hans were great, they were full of local knowledge and made the cruise fun and interactive. We could have stayed sat on the boat for hours cruising round the canal, listening to the stories.
