What To Expect
The Jordaan
On this Secret Food Walking Tour you'll discover the best local Dutch food the Amsterdam's Jordaan neighborhood has to offer. The Jordaan is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques. You'll get to taste traditional homemade pancakes called "Poffertjes." Next, you'll sample some of the best Dutch cheeses. You'll visit a local fishmonger and dine on herring and traditional kibbeling, battered chunks of fish. You'll taste Stamppot, a local favorite. And at the end there will be a delicious Secret Dish.
Westertoren
You'll pass by the Westertoren ("Western tower"), the highest church tower in Amsterdam, at 87 meters (±286 feet).

5.00The Secret Food Tour was fantastic. All of the food we sampled was delicious and gave us a taste of the history of cuisine in Amsterdam.Highlights were the apple pie and the stop for fish. I even tried the herring which was delicious! Mike was a great guide and very informative. It was just like going out with a good friend! The stops were spread out and we had a great walking tour filled with not just food but historical facts as well.

5.00Lorenzo was a calming presence, kind and pleasant. He made the tour an enjoyable experience, which felt more intimate with our small group. Very knowledgeable with providing information on a breadth of topics, but humble enough to admit if he didn’t know specifics. Despite not receiving my email about my allergies, Lorenzo remained vigilant with making sure I was not exposed to any peanuts throughout the entire tour.
