What To Expect
The Jordaan
On this Secret Food Walking Tour you'll discover the best local Dutch food the Amsterdam's Jordaan neighborhood has to offer. The Jordaan is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques. You'll get to taste traditional homemade pancakes called "Poffertjes." Next, you'll sample some of the best Dutch cheeses. You'll visit a local fishmonger and dine on herring and traditional kibbeling, battered chunks of fish. You'll taste Stamppot, a local favorite. And at the end there will be a delicious Secret Dish.
Westertoren
You'll pass by the Westertoren ("Western tower"), the highest church tower in Amsterdam, at 87 meters (±286 feet).

5.00We had a great tour with Mike today! Everything we ate was amazing (even the herring which was just a tiny bit outside our normal comfort zone)! We learned so much about the city of Amsterdam and the history here. We would absolutely recommend this experience, and hope you’re lucky enough to get Mike as a guide.

5.00Great tour with local food and history and knowledge of Amsterdam. Mike was an excellent guide, calm, knowledgeable, open to questions and fun. We’ve now done Secret food tours in 5 cities, they haven’t missed yet! The tour walked through the NW portion of central Amsterdam, starting from the Anne Frank monument and included very typical Dutch dishes.

5.00Anouk was amazing...incredibly knowledgeable about both Amsterdam as well as the food we shared. I would recommend her to all my friends in the future. The day was amazingly hot (close to 40 C) and she was constantly ensuring everyone was ok and hydrated. 5 Stars across the board!
