What To Expect
The Jordaan
On this Secret Food Walking Tour you'll discover the best local Dutch food the Amsterdam's Jordaan neighborhood has to offer. The Jordaan is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques. You'll get to taste traditional homemade pancakes called "Poffertjes." Next, you'll sample some of the best Dutch cheeses. You'll visit a local fishmonger and dine on herring and traditional kibbeling, battered chunks of fish. You'll taste Stamppot, a local favorite. And at the end there will be a delicious Secret Dish.
Westertoren
You'll pass by the Westertoren ("Western tower"), the highest church tower in Amsterdam, at 87 meters (±286 feet).

5.00Anouk is a charming and well-informed guide who led our group through a wide variety of Dutch and international (think: colonized countries like Surinam) foods. Walks between food stops she gave us great information about Amsterdam neighborhoods, history and architecture. I highly recommend this tour for those who want an overview of Amsterdam’s foods and a beautiful guided walk through town.

5.00My husband and I joined the Amsterdam Secret Food Tour yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Holly our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam. We roamed the picturesque Jordaan area and it was just beautiful. We enjoyed all of the food stops, especially the secret dish. Thank you Holly for a fabulous day! We loved it.
