  Amsterdam on a boat in the evening with all the lights is magical! The two young Dutch guys hosting us (Arnout and Rick) shared very fun and inetresting facts about Amsterdam and The Netherlands during the trip.

  We were in Amsterdam for 2 nights, and scheduled a canal cruise for our second day through TA. (We were in town prior to beginning a Viking cruise.) I mentioned that we were going to take the TA canal cruise to our Viking rep; he told me that there was a demonstration scheduled during that time and I might want to reconsider because the demonstrations can turn violent. He suggested that for our safety, we not go. He then called TA to explain our situation, and requested a refund. TA refused because of their 24 hour cancelation policy. My Viking rep said he was really surprised by that. (They had re-routed their Viking walking tour scheduled for that time to avoid the protest, as they felt it was unsafe!) I wasn’t going to leave a review, but TA kept hitting me up for one. So here it is,my friends.

  Lovely evening on the canal cruise, our experience was made by Novha and Arthur both very welcoming, was a very factual experience but novha made jokes throughout and had everyone laughing

  The canal staff were so knowledgeable and made me feel like I was truly apart of Amsterdams culture! Drinks were amazing!

  We had a great time. Whessel was a great captain, tour guide and narrator. We were somewhat disappointed with the drink choices. There were only a couple seltzer and Amstel was the only other choice. Thank you.

  Great boat but, not the best tour guide. Took 35 mins to start. Couldn’t hear from the back of the boat which was a shame. Needed a microphone or something Also the descriptions we did hear didn’t seem hugely accurate which was a shame Finally we saw that the boat took you to a spot with the 7bridges view This was slipped past. We didn’t even stop for a photo but actually sped up and turned the boat down a different canal which was quite disappointing Overall it was ok. 3 star! Should of been given a welcome drink or something

  Absolute rubbish and amateur service. We prebooked and paid for a specific boat. We turned up in plenty of time but were told to join the back of a large queue. We did not get on the boat because it had been over booked. Very very poor and disappointing.

  I am sorry to write a negative review but this was an unpleasant experience due largely to the business practices of this company. We had splurged on the cheese and wine ride. When we got on the boat it was crowded with tourists sitting around tables which wereFULL of cheese boards. Then a brusque woman checked our tickets and proceeded TO REMOVE the cheese boards from those who she said had not paid for it. The tourists at our table objected citing the website had been confusing- therein the clerk and customer had an angry exchange while we were all crowded together on the boat. After several minutes of uncomfortable conflict - during which I felt compelled to offer to share our cheese so they would stop arguing! the brusque woman announced she would give the other group the cheese though they hadn’t paid and brought plates back. I have never been in any kind of restaurant where food is placed in front of customers first and then removed from those they say had not ordered it- why not check the tickets first to identify those ordering and then serve them? The same brusque woman narrated the ride with jokes and stories which were not tunny and some in bad taste. Finally the clear blinds were down but the room warm so it totally fogged up preventing us from seeing the scenery. All the tourists were wiping down the fog throughout the trip. We paid $43 for this 1 hour unpleasant activity. I would highly discourage other tourists from this company.

  It was a beautiful boat ride through the canals. It was disappointing that you needed to ask questions to find out about the history or you didn’t get much information. Also, because of the time of year you had to get up and pour your own drinks. Also, you need to read the “unlimited” drinks, doesn’t apply to mixed drinks. A bit disappointing for the price.
