Westerkerk
The Westerkerk was built between 1620 and 1631 in Renaissance style according to designs by architect Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621). He is buried in the church he designed earlier: the 'Zuiderkerk'. The building of the Westerkerk was finished and completed by his son Pieter de Keyser (1595-1676) and inaugurated on June 8, 1631. The church has a length of 58 meters and a width of 29 meters. The high nave is flanked by the two lower aisles. The three-aisled basilica has a rectangular plan with two transepts of equal dimensions. As a result, the plan for this church was given the form of two Greek crosses connected with each other.
Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
he Grachtengordel (known in English as the Canal District) is a neighborhood in Amsterdam, Netherlands located in the Centrum district. The seventeenth-century canals of Amsterdam, located in the center of Amsterdam, were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2010.[1] The Amsterdam Canal District consists of the area around the city’s four main canals: the Singel, the Herengracht, the Keizersgracht, and the Prinsengracht. From the Brouwersgracht, the canals are generally parallel with one another, leading gradually southeast into the Amstel river. Many of the canal houses in the Amsterdam Canal District are from the Dutch Golden Age, 17th century. Many of these buildings, however, underwent restoration or reconstruction in various centuries, meaning that these building display many different architectural styles and facades

Attention! The "Kids Cruise" aren't really a kids cruise I was ordering in advance for a kids cruise. The advertising, and even the short movie on the official website was showing a cruise that offered some small toys and coloring notebooks to "create a comfortable experience for the parents as well". What we really had was: nothing like that. We sat in the heat, with no shade at all, with three children, on the back of the boat, near the toilet, with no chairs and table It could have been nice cruising around the canals for one hour with no children, but with three children who had nothing to do, in a very small space... You can imagine... I will definitely will not recommend for families, or anyone who doesn't like to get tricked by false commercial

Very nice tour with small boat and sympathetic captain, who explains a lot about the city and the individual houses and buildings. We were 14 people and there could have been 3 to 4 more guests without things getting tight. Why the Tour Tripadvisor advertises the tour with a maximum group size of 10 people is a mystery to me. You lose confidence when such promises are not true.

I recommend everyone should spend a few extra quid to go in a small open boat tour rather than a large covered window tour. It is much more personal and max is 10 but we had 6 which made it even better. Our captain Hans obviously is not just incredibly knowledgeable on his history of the canals but blatantly loves his city and adores sharing both with everyone. He was amazing and captivating. If I could rate him more than 5 stars then I would!

We enjoyed an open boat cruise on a sunny day in Amsterdam. It was a relaxing way to get to see the city and understand its buildings and development. We enjoyed seeing so many bridges and canals. Our captain was friendly and informative. He was happy to answer questions. We would highly recommend this trip

Blue Boat Company offers the perfect 75-minute open boat tour of Amsterdam’s canals. Captain Tim offered informed, charming commentary and happily answered all passenger questions. He also kept us safe steering the boat through “rush hour” traffic! Highly recommended.

Great experiences to enjoy small open boat cruise. We could see all around through smaller waterways or bridges. However, it was little bit crowded on the boat. The captain was knowledgeable and professional to navigate. Recommendation.

So glad we opted for the smaller Skyboat tour. Our captain was great, very engaging full of info about this beautiful city. The smaller vessel meant we could travel along narrower waterways and glimpse parts of the city and history we would otherwise miss. Highly recommend!

Great way to see so much of the city and a very affordable option. Our original cruise was cancelled due to the rain but they were quick to accommodate us on which tour we rescheduled.
