# AMG Tours & Coach - Los Angeles Tour Review *Tour Date: June 30, 2025* *Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆* ## The Basics My hotel pickup was on time, and we rode in a clean, white, medium-sized enclosed bus with good air conditioning. This is approximately an 8-hour tour from pickup to drop-off - just remember, you’ll be on the road A LOT. Keep in mind this is LA, so traffic is congested and unpredictable. Some people on the bus will be late at stops, which affects everyone’s schedule. ## Tour Guide Our guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting information about movies and local history. However, his style was more low-key and showed a lack of enthusiasm. He did handle phone calls frequently during stops, which meant less time for casual conversation with passengers. It would have been nice if he actually stood up in the bus and introduced himself and made eye contact with all the visitors. It also would have been appreciated to have a welcoming greeting when returning to the bus, and having the air conditioning running before we boarded again would have been great on such a warm day. Occasionally, announcements about points of interest came a moment after we’d passed them, so timing could have been better for optimal viewing. Overall, there’s room for improvement in guest engagement and service touches. The truth is, these tours are just as much about the guide - if not more than the tour itself. A great guide can make an ordinary trip extraordinary, while a lackluster one can diminish even the best destinations. I base my opinion about this tour guide on all the tours like this that I’ve done across the country. ## The Stops **Hollywood Sign** - Nice to see but very far away! **Griffith Observatory** - We stopped here, but nobody told us it’s closed on Mondays (the day we went) until I asked about the restrooms inside. **Hollywood/Walk of Fame** - Really nice stop with enough time to shop and walk around. You get a free restroom pass for the LALA Land gift shop - it’s massive! **Farmers Market** - AMAZING! Wait until you get there to eat. There are so many restaurants and stores under one roof - I’ve never seen anything like it. **Santa Monica Pier** - Amazing with plenty of time to walk around and explore. ## Overall A good tour with very interesting history. Great job putting this together. Just remember, any tour is different for everyone - this is just my opinion based on what I experienced.

The tour was so much more than we expected. Our tour guide’s name was Roberto. He was extremely knowledgeable and hilarious!

It was the longest unusual experience of my life. Alberto is a texting machine while driving. The information he gave out was about 50% correct with a simple search. He even hit another vehichle with his driver side mirror in traffic once again ON THAT PHONE. Its a long day and a lotta walking.

Wonderful day with an excellent tour guide. Nate picked us up in Anaheim and transported us to LA . He shared many facts about California. We traveled through LA seeing many parts of the including several historical landmarks. The trip also covered Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. Highly recommend this tour if you are vacationing in Anaheim. If you get Nate as I tour guide you will not be disappointed.
