Sara was warm and courteous, taking us through the history and culture and charm of Ancona. We spent a wonderful day with her, and ended at a local market, which was wonderful. When we left her, we felt as if we were saying good-bye to a family member. Grazie mille, Sara.

Good way to know the city. Our guide spoke excellent English and was very nice. I would recommend the tour if you don’t know the city

We had a fantastic walking tour with Daniela. She was very informative and asked us what interested us and showed us many beautiful sights around Ancona. She gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat and other sights to see. Definitely sign up for this tour to get acquainted with Ancona!

We had one day in Ancona and had a very nice walk with our new friend Sara. This was quite different from most tours, and one of our most memorable. It was a very relaxed private walk on a Saturday, starting out doing what many locals were doing, meeting someone for a walk in a lively locals area. We walked along a lovely Boulevard along Via Della Vittoria to the East Coast side of Ancona with its Caduti Monument and Passetto beaches. She also helped us get to know a local merchant at a weekend market, where we visited with the vendor through our interpreter Sara, bought some local sausage, cheese and bread and continued to visit over a glass of wine. A highlight of our trip. Our tour then continued through Ancona’s Old Town, historic sites and its physical layers of history. We would never have found most of what we saw, or had such a wonderful local walk and experience without this tour and Sara. Book it!

Andrea was a fabulous tour. He was very knowledgeable about local History and Art. We spent a great 2 hours seeing the architecture from 800 AD to 100 years ago and how a city goes through architectural changes adapting to the times.

Ancona is a charming small hillside village. Our tour guide, Gabriela, was delightful and enthusiastic to show us her town. With one member of our party in a wheelchair, Ancona was somewhat challenging. But with frequent stops and Gabriela's help, we were able to make it all the way up to Ancona Cathedral to tour the church and enjoy the views. Several locations through the city also offered the opportunity to view ancient Roman ruins. We would definitely recommend this tour.

This was our first Lokafy tour and we will definitely be looking for similar experiences throughout our travels. There are some places that you would want a certified guide to interpret significant historical sites. We enjoyed this style of tour that was more personalized. Our guide Sarah, provided all of the history that we wanted and supplemented with personal stories of her hometown. It was a great way to get oriented to Ancona.
