Baga
8.30am - Where else but in Europe can you visit three countries in one day? Three different countries, three distinctly different atmospheres, stunning drives, and breathtaking scenery. Depart from Barcelona at 7am, and relax during the scenic journey to Bagà. You will have the chance to marvel at the majestic rocky peaks in the Cadi-Moixeró National Park as we drive to Bagà. In Bagà, as this sleepy village comes to life, you can get a fresh pastry or sandwich in the local bakery, or a coffee in one of the many typical cafes, before rejoining your guide who will give you a short walking tour of the village before leaving you free time to explore alone. From Bagà, we will head deeper into the countryside as we drive towards the French border.

I mainly wanted to visit Andorra but it was good to see the other two places. We got a passport stamp at the Andorra border. We didn’t go to the original place in France due to icy weather but went to a small village instead. Thanks to Alex (guide) and Alex (driver) for the day. The guide gave us some good advice for shopping in Andorra. I got some French beauty products (Nuxe and Biotherm) significantly less than in USA, Paris and Barcelona at Gran Farmacia!!! Chocolate is also a great buy. We had plenty of free time to shop there. Maybe they would want to do a day trip just for a shopping trip to Andorra. Transportation was via a very comfortable coach. We had sufficient bathroom breaks going each way. I took a taxi from my hotel to the trip departure point and then walked from Arc de Triomphe to Placa Catalunya and onward to my hotel when we returned to Barcelona at 7pm.

Wonderful tour and guide. Alex shared lots of his knowledge. He is persoable and kept the day running smoothly. It is a long day, at 12 hours. However, it is divided up nicely.

Picked the wrong season for this tour. I believe the tour should have been canceled prior because of the weather in France. When we reached our first stop in Spain we told Nuaila, our tour guide the back of the bus was very cold. It took some time before it was comfortable, like Andorra. There was enough snow in the secondary French town we visited that it was dangerous to walk anywhere in the town that was not flat and that was only a few hundred square feet of area. We were supposed to visit a French town to the North of Andorra but the roads were closed because of the snow, so we went to a different town as stated above. There was a wonderful cheese shop we were able to get to and a small bar as well. For the trip it was probably 15-20 degrees with the wind chill. Not many people were dressed for this or probably had the clothes for this weather. A few of the people in the back of the bus said the bus was fishtailing on the roads and we hit the curb a couple of times. After our trip into France the bus windows were so covered in mud/dirt that it was difficult to see out of, much less take a picture out of for the remainder of the trip. Andorra was cold and windy as well but little snow. We did eat at a wonderful pizza shop in Andorra. Nuaila, our guide was very nice.

This is a nice bus tour that takes you into the Pyrenees in France and Andorra. Our day had a snow storm so we took an alternate route which reduced our time in France. If you want to see the Pyrenees, and dip into France and Andorra at a reasonable price, this is the tour you want. If you want to see a little more of each, I would recommend a small group or private tour.

You get to experience the places that you visit for a short time. Andorra was nice to visit and I think the time spent there was just enough.
