5.00We had a fabulous private tour of Angkor Wat with Mr. Kim during our honeymoon. We were matched with him through our hotel, Sokkhak Boutique Resort. The tour was from sunrise to late afternoon and included a photo session at sunrise, a tour a few hours later of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and Ta Prohn. We felt very taken care of by Mr. Kim. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and a joy to spend time with. It was clear that he loves Angkor Wat and is very proud to show around his guests, which made us fall in love with it as well. He showed us all of the best spots to take pictures and doubled as our private photographer. He even found my husband’s glasses when he dropped them in a large crowd! With his help, we had many firsts on our tour: the first time we drank from coconuts, the first time we interacted with monkeys, and the first time we got blessed by a monk. He even introduced us to elephants because we told him we’d never seen one up close before! The tour even went beyond the temples. We had a delicious lunch at a place he took us to and I bought a Buddah for my boss at a place he asked the driver to stop at. We later ate crocodile, upon his recommendation, for dinner though he did offer to take us to an awesome floating village (I was sadly exhausted from out 4 AM wakeup and wanted to lie down). The tour was above and beyond and I recommend it highly!!
