Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is a temple complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation – first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. It is the world's largest religious building. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas in Hindu mythology: within a moat and an outer wall 3.6 kilometers (2.2 mi) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the center of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west; scholars are divided as to the significance of this. The temple is admired for the grandeur and harmony of the architecture, its extensive bas-reliefs and for the numerous guardian spirits adorning its walls.

We had a wonderful visit to Angkor Wat! Siv Kuysin was such a great host, very knowledgeable and took some amazing photos. This is one of the shorter tours but I still feel like we got to see so many things. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

Fantastic half day tour around Angkor wat, Angkor Thom and the kings palace. All of this was made first class by our amazing tour guide Roem. His knowledge was second to none and showed his passion for the history of his country. We decided against the early tour of Angkor wat as we were still tired from the temples of Bangkok. Some didn’t arrive until 8am which was perfect as the early morning crowds were starting to leave. Roem took lots of pictures of us on our phone which was great. The tuk tuk Driver was fantastic too handing out cold towels and bottles of water I really cannot speak highly enough of this tour. Although only 4 hours long we took in the main sites. Any longer in 36c heat is too long in my view. I highly recommend Roem too as he mad the trip totally rememberable. .

VOATH IS THE BEST!! he is so knowledgeable and has the answer to every question. We had so much fun and he was able to show us all the best sites and a short amount of time. He was even super accommodating and showed us a different temple that was cooler. Give VOATH a raise!!!

Our guide Voath was a very kind young man. He had a good knowledge of the history of Angkor Temples Complex. We enjoyed his enthusiasm to show us the major sites and also made sure that we were comfortable by providing us bottled water and wet towels to beat the heat. Our tuk tuk driver was also very sweet and had a big smile on his face every time we saw each other on this tour. A must do when in Siem Reap. Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Cambodia.

It is stunning, an incredible view and history. It’s definitely worth it to hire a tour guide so you can go deeper into the history as there is so much to see, to hear and learn about. We went with two young children. Our tour guide was great and helped to make the experience well worth it. I wouldn’t advise to take a stroller as there are many steps - doable for kids but for very small ones, a backpack kid’s carrier is better. Visit all the temples, as they are different to each other, with its own history and one more beautiful than the other. We found the city of Angkor Wat over priced with everything being charged in dollars - in my opinion they are missing an opportunity to show Cambodia’s true history and culture.
