What To Expect
Siem Reap
Please ready from 7:30-8:30am for pick up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Siem Reap. We’ll then set off for the Angkor Wat Ticket Office where you’ll pay and get your Angkor Pass (required)
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is a temple complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation – first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. It is the world's largest religious building. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas in Hindu mythology: within a moat and an outer wall 3.6 kilometers (2.2 mi) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the center of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west; scholars are divided as to the significance of this. The temple is admired for the grandeur and harmony of the architecture, its extensive bas-reliefs and for the numerous guardian spirits adorning its walls.

5.00We had an incredible guided tour of Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. Our guide Tye was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly accommodating throughout the day. Despite the heat, we were well taken care of with cold water and refreshing wet towels, which made a big difference and kept us comfortable. Watching the sunset and taking a peaceful trip on Tonlé Sap Lake were truly unforgettable moments. This experience will stay with us for a long time—highly recommended!

5.00Such a great tour guide! Lim Pengkhun provides an excellent service. He is very kind and accommodating, and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. He had cold bottles of water and towels prepared for us to refresh after the tours. We felt he went above and beyond with his time, allowing us to really get a full experience on the tours. He talked with us about our cultures, and it was very informative to hear him share his insights about Cambodian culture. Would highly recommend!

5.00Friendly and reliable driver. We have 7 days in Siem Reap (including one day to Bat cave). We all enjoyed hearing him telling us of local folk stories and also recommended a number of things to do such as watching the local show and brought us local snack. Highly recommend!
