After pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu you will be driven in a private vehicle to the domestic terminal at Kathmandu (Tribhuvan) Airport.
Scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. You will be met by our staff at Pokhara Airport.
After landing, take a comfortable drive through green hills and local settlements to reach Hille, a peaceful riverside village and the starting point of your trek.
Begin your uphill climb from Hille through terraced farmlands, forests, and suspension bridges. The famous 3,000 stone steps lead to Ulleri (2,210m), a traditional Magar village known for its stone houses and wide views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

A charming stop with teahouses nestled among oak and rhododendron forests — perfect for a short rest and tea break. Next is the Rhododendron Forest Trail. One of the most picturesque sections of the trek, especially in spring when the forests bloom in vibrant reds and pinks.
Ghorepani
A steady uphill climb through forests and small settlements brings you to Ghorepani, a favorite stop for trekkers. The mountain views grow more impressive as you ascend, preparing you for the famous Poon Hill sunrise. Ghorepani Village is a classic Gurung village at 2,874 m, known for its cozy lodges and stunning sunset views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

Forest Descent: Descend through lush rhododendron and oak forests alive with birdsong and occasional mountain views peeking through the trees. A short but delightful trek takes you down to Ghandruk, a cultural highlight of the region. Spend the afternoon exploring the village, meeting locals, and enjoying the peaceful setting. Ghandruk Village is one of Nepal’s most beautiful Gurung villages, with traditional stone houses, local museums, and close-up views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain).

This easy day completes your trek as you return to Pokhara. It’s the perfect moment to unwind, reflect on the journey, and perhaps enjoy a lakeside dinner. Kimche Trail: A gentle downhill walk of about an hour through terraced fields and village paths, ending at Kimche — the trek’s endpoint. Scenic Drive to Pokhara: A comfortable 2.5-hour drive through hills and rural landscapes brings you back to Pokhara, with time to relax by Phewa Lake in the afternoon.

After your mountain adventure, you’ll fly back to Kathmandu with wonderful memories, photos, and the satisfaction of completing one of Nepal’s most scenic short treks. We pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport in Pokhara for a scenic flight offering one last look at the Himalayas before landing in Kathmandu.

We had a fantastic time during the Poon Hill Trek. Krishna took us to wonderful places. Really worth it! Everything was also well organized! And not insignificantly: I never felt unsafe there!
