Annapurna Circuit Trek is the classical trekking route of Nepal. Normally, the trip is the detour route of Nepal Trekking, which requires 10–17 days. However, if you are short on time, you can do the trek in much fewer days as well. After lots of field research, travel planners at Nepal High Trek have knitted the Annapurna Circuit Trek 10-day itinerary. The itinerary is perfect for travelers without much risk of altitude sickness or hours of walking. Moreover, the construction of a hilly road from Besisahar to Manang has helped in knitting the short itinerary of the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Can I use a Jeep to Manang to further shorten the number of trekking days?
No, it is not appropriate to take a Jeep beyond Chame. However, it is possible to use the four-wheel jeep to reach Manang. The risk of altitude sickness is very high if we take a jeep ride to Manang.

What To Expect
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu with transfer to hotel.

Kathmandu
On arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, get transferred to hotels after being received by our guides and staff. At hotel check-in, join in for a group briefing regarding treks and other useful information and required trekking stuff.
Day 02: Drive to Besisahar 760 m – 08 hrs.

In the morning, the drive leads you away and beyond Kathmandu Valley, heading to lower, warmer areas with views of snowcapped mountains to reach Nepal's mid-west, around the Lamjung area in Besisahar. It takes 8 hours by local bus, and you can explore the courtyard with a scenic view of the Trishuli River and thrilling mountain ranges.
Day 03: Drive from Besisahar to Chame by local sharing jeep 2670 m – 05 hours.

Chame
After breakfast, we will drive to Chame. The Chame is the headquarters of the Manang district. The road is unpaved, but you can see the stunning scenery of multi-authentic villages, various landscapes, pine forests, hills, and a delightful view of Mount Manaslu. The road goes through the Marshyangdi River, and it’s a challenging drive to Chame. From Jagat, the walk begins on a winding path to Chamje. Chame is a small mountain town located at 2670 m above sea level, where you can spend a beautiful time.
Day04: Trek from Chame to Pisang 3, 230 m – 7/8 hrs.

Manang
From here onward, the walk gets closer to the mountains, heading through a beautiful alpine forest and following the Masrsyangdi River upstream to Bhratang village. As the walk heads uphill into pine trees to Dhukure Pokhari, a small place with few lodges and views of Chulu and Pisang Peak, after a lunch stop, walk downhill to Pisang village for an overnight stop.
Day 05: Trek from Pisang to Manang Village 3,450 m – 6/7 hrs.

Manang
Pisang village is situated within Manang Valley, facing stunning mountain views where altitude gains slowly from here onward, as the walk takes you to a short uphill with views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu, and Pisang peak to reach Hongde village. From here, tree lines fade to barren, arid landscapes as the walk leads to Manang village. On route, visit the old Braga monastery, enriched with Buddhist relics, ancient wall paintings, frescoes, and a superb panorama of Annapurna Himalaya. From here, it's an hour’s walk to Manang village.
Day 06: Rest Day at Manang for local hikes and Acclimatization.

Manang
Rest day for acclimatization before heading to high altitude and crossing the Thorang La Pass. We would highly recommend the hike to Gangapurna Lake, and it’s an extremely beautiful lake in Manang Valley. Besides, explore Manang village beneath towering Annapurna and Gangapurna peaks, a nice short hike up for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang glacial lake.
Day 07: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 4/5 hours.

Manang
After resting at Manang, walk to Yak Kharka, an interesting high-altitude walk facing views of mountains, crossing small streams to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with incredible views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Chulu Peaks.
Day 08: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m – 4/5 hours

Thorong La Pass
The morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as the walk progresses, crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading to Thorung Phedi for a short rest, and then climbing the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for an overnight stop.
Day 09: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 7/8 hours

Muktinath Temple
Starting early in the morning to reach the highest point of the great adventure, after breakfast, climb up to Thorang-la at 5,416 m, marked with Buddhist prayer flags, which offers superb vista landscapes and snowcapped peaks. From here, a long descent to Muktinath at 3,800 m Muktinath is a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists; the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana, or liberation.
Day 10: Drive to Pokhara by local deluxe bus – 10 hrs (810m)

Pokhara
Today you must drive to Pokhara. It’s challenging with a scenic drive to explore the various views of the magnificent place too. After Muktinath, the rest of the journey is easier with an exciting scenic drive all the way downhill with a big drop of 1,200 m to Kaligandaki river valley. As the ride leads at Kaligandaki river valley, from here heading past Jomsom, the headquarters town of the Mustang area with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River, through Marpha village, as the drive leads downhill past Lete. The journey begins between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, forming the world's deepest gorge of the Kali-Gandaki River.
Day 11: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.

Morning from Pokhara, an exciting overland journey back to Kathmandu en route to observe farm villages and towns, and then reach Kathmandu by afternoon. The rest of the day is free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

5.00I recently completed a trek with Buddhi Tamang as my guide, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Buddhi was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and attentive from start to finish. He made sure everything ran smoothly, checked in often to ensure were were comfortable, and went above and beyond to make the journey enjoyable and safe. What stood out most was his calm, caring nature and genuine enthusiasm for sharing local culture and the beauty of the region. I’ve had many guides over the years, but Buddhi truly set the standard — professional, supportive, and an absolute pleasure to travel with. If you’re considering a trek in Nepal, I can’t recommend Buddhi Tamang highly enough. You’ll be in excellent hands.

5.00I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit and had an incredible experience. Everything was well-organized from start to finish. The itinerary, accommodations, and daily stops were thoughtfully planned and ran smoothly. The views were breathtaking, with every day offering something new from lush valleys and waterfalls to snow-covered peaks and mountain villages. A thank you to my guide, Rajenra, who did a great job. He was polite, knowledgeable about the area, and always made sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the trek. I also appreciated how flexible the team was, they were able to make adjustments along the way based on preferences, which made the trip feel very personalized. I highly recommend this trek and the team that organized it.

5.00An amazing adventure across the Annapurna Circuit connecting with the Upper Mustang Trek. From being greeted at the airport by my lovely guide Veer with a garland of marigolds to our final day in bustling Kathmandu taking in the sites, our trip was fantastically well organised and meticulously planned. The 18 day trek took us through the first section of the Annapurna Circuit, starting at Besisahar and over the snowy Thorong La Pass to Kagbeni where we transitioned onto the Upper Mustang Trek to Lo Mantling, the fabled Shangri La. It was an adventure of a lifetime and the contrast between the lush valleys and alpine slopes of the Circuit with the arid desert landscapes of Upper Mustang was breathtaking. We would highly recommend Nepal High Trek. Thank you to Veer our guide, Sukman our porter and of course Anjan for giving us this exceptional opportunity to visit your beautiful country and share in your wonderful culture and breathtaking landscapes. 5.00This was my second time in Nepal and trekking with Nepal High Trek. I spent a whole month with my guide Anos Tamang in the mountains and it felt like one single day. He made me feel at home the entire time. I had a porter too and even he was AMAZING. He wasn't just someone helping us carry our things but it was like three friends simply having a great time in the mountains. Everything was comfortable and easy. Nepal High Trek as a whole is such an easy team to work with, with great guides who are basically your friends the entire time instead of a surface level guide-client relationship, which I really appreciate and it really helps to make you feel at ease when travelling through these mountain regions of Nepal. Everything you need is basically done and ready up well for you to have the easiest time trekking, from food to lodging and even miscellaneous things such as charging your devices and connecting to wifi. Whatever it may be, I am sure Nepal High Trek would go above and beyond to make sure you have the greatest time while you're with them. Highly recommended. I would definitely want to visit Nepal again for more trekking, together with Nepal High Trek.

5.00It was my first trip to Nepal and nine of my friends did the 10 days Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nepal High Trek. I had a wonderful experience in the stunning Annapurna Himalayas with beautiful trekking crews. My guides are Anjan,Suman and Ruchira with other 4 sherpas. The weather was a marvelous and company gave us best service as possible. The local tea house was a perfect in the mountains with bathroom inside the rooms. After Yak Kharka I felt quite tough due to altitude but entire team successfully crossed the thorong la pass and I got unexpected support from the team. Iam very grateful to Nepal High Trek team and can't wait to back again! Once again thank you everyone and highly recommend this company for adventure fellow. Cheers, MH, Singapore

5.00This trek was everything I dreamed it would be. From the moment our guide met us at the airport we were thoroughly looked after. Our guide - Indaco, was an absolute hero. He briefed us every evening of our 12 day Annapurna circuit trek on what to expect on the next day. His experience was immediately obvious, having great local knowledge about the local trails, as well as telling us about the local cultures and history of the areas we were in. His attention to detail was much appreciated, always making sure we felt healthy, and well fed, especially when we were trekking at high altitude. All the accommodation was impressive considering how high up in the mountains we were, most places boasting western style toilets, WiFi and electricity for charging devices. The food was also very high quality, we were spoiled for choice at every place! Special shout out to Manang Hotel and Lodge. The trek itself was absolutely incredible. From massive snowcapped mountains to beautifully coloured lakes, this trek had it all. I would highly recommend Nepal High Trek if you are considering trekking in Nepal.

5.00Incredible trip with some spectacular views and awesome hikes. Defiantly had some days that were very strenuous and others that were more low key, and it was a great balance. Our guide, Pawan, was an absolute joy and made the trip much more fun. My 4 other college friends and I were so glad to have him. Bring sunscreen!

5.00Absolutely excellent trip! This was a special birthday trip for me and our guide, Indako, made it truly wonderful. Everything was well-planned, explained and organised. We were on a 12 day trip and we were SO incredibly well-taken care of. The food was great (get ready to eat loads - indako will make sure of it!), the places we stayed at were clean with comfy beds (super important after a long day of walking), and he also made sure to tell us local histories and take photos along the route (me and my partner often forget to do so). We didn't have any medical needs but Indako made sure to ask about our health conditions everyday on higher altitudes. The trek itself is gorgeous, despite it being monsoon we had incredible views every morning and it never rained while we were walking! For my birthday, Indako made a cake at 4200 m in Lehdar with very little resources, just to surprise me - that's the kind of care he provided to us during the trek! Overall, great experience, would highly recommend Indako and Nepal high treks - you'd be supporting a local, family run business and definitely visit the Annapurna circuit with the most beautiful mountains!
