Millions of people travel to Amsterdam to see where the Frank family hid from the Nazis. In this guided tour, we retrace part of the route Anne took on her journey to the hiding place.
Travelling back in time to WWII Amsterdam, we'll learn about Anne's life & the ‘secret annex’ and experience Anne’s emotions during the dark days of war.
The tour ends near Anne Frank house where you enter the Secret Annex via a virtual reality recreation (made by the Anne Frank Foundation). Entering the hiding place through the bookcase, you'll see that unlike the actual house, the VR house still has furniture, giving a feel of how it was to live there in 1942-44.
There’s no crowds, you have the virtual Anne Frank house to yourself to explore at your own pace. This is as close to the real thing as you can get, without stepping foot in the house. Ideal for those who can’t get tickets or access to the Annex.

Our guide Kees was well informed and very friendly. He showed us importent places connected to Anne Frank and her Family! The VR experience took place in a local bar including one free drink per person and we could walk around in the room, while getting additional quotes from her diaries. All in all it was a great opportunity to learn about Anne's life and see the house from inside without needing to go to the actual house.

I had an incredible experience with Bespoke Amsterdam Experiences while visiting Amsterdam. As a travel advisor, I personally vet tours for my clients, and this company truly stands out for luxury, organization, and authenticity. From a private tour of the Rijksmuseum to the powerful Anne Frank’s Last Walk and visits to Zaanse Schans and Royal Delft Pottery Factory, every experience was seamless and thoughtfully curated. The guides were knowledgeable, engaging, and made each stop memorable. If you’re looking for private tours in Amsterdam or high-end, customized experiences in the Netherlands, I highly recommend Bespoke Amsterdam Experiences. I will absolutely be using them for my clients.

Zarah was an amazing tour guide. It was obvious from the start that she was extremely knowledgeable about both the history of the city of Amsterdam and the history of the Anne Frank story. In addition to her knowledge, Zarah was a wonderful orator and frequently asked if our groups stayed together had any questions. Zarah also ensured that our group stayed together throughout the walk; which was quite necessary as our group had some slow movers. Overall, the tour was fantastic and Zarah as the tour guide was 5 stars!
