The tour takes you to the beautiful French Alpine city of Annecy and you’ll get about 2 hours to explore on your own with minimal direction from the guide. I personally had a lot of fun exploring even though I originally thought there would be more guidance. However, if you’re on a budget it might be worth figuring out how to get there on your own by train or something.

Annecy and the drive there are truly beautiful. Gabriel was our guide and he truly is a gentleman. Understand that how this works is he basically tells you about Annecy and some of the areas we drive thru on the very clean coach bus during the roughly 1 hour drive it takes to get to Annecy. Once you arrive the guide will stop at 3 spots in the truly picturesque town and give you a brief history of the site. Afterwhich you are on your own for the remaining 2hrs to explore the town and lake area before you head back to Geneva on the bus. The ride back is a bit shorter since most of the way is highway as opposed to going to Annecy which is through some small towns along local roads. All in all a very pleasant laid back trip to a very beautiful location in the French Alps. If you don’t have the time to go to Chamonix or Mount Blanc but want to make a quick trip to see an Alpine town this trip is for you.

Annecy is one of the most beautiful and quaint town I have ever seen. It was an amazing experience and the guide was excellent, extremely friendly and made us feel like family

Tour was quite short due in part to the small size of Annecy. A lovely town on a beautiful lake which we barely were shown. For the price of $85.00, I think it should have included a boat ride. Guide and driver were good.

I enjoyed this tour more than i thought i would. Annacy is a cute little town with tons of shops. I went on a sunday, many of the shops were closed, but there was still plenty to see in the time aloted.
