What a fantastic experience! The tour was a perfect blend of history, flavor and charm. We sampled delicious local starters, stopped at a absinthe bar, walked through the old Saffron district where we had a wonderful lunch, then topped it off with desserts that were manifique. Vanessa, our guide, was knowledgable and friendly, sharing stories and insights that made the whole experience come alive! A must-do in Antibes for even the most finicky eater.

The food and drinks were wonderful. I would have preferred more interaction/hearing from the vendors. Our guide didn't speak french and didn't seem very knowledgable or interested in the city and it's terroir. We had been in Antibes for a few days and could have told the group more about the food and history. Our guide was doing her best and I suspect covering for what seemed like a very disorganized tour company.

After our disappointing experience with the cancelled morning tour, we were surprised to find that the guide for our evening food tasting tour in Antibes was the same person. She did apologise again, but when we reiterated how disappointed we were with the short-notice cancellation, she simply repeated that it was beyond her control. Unfortunately, the Antibes food tour didn’t make up for the rocky start in the morning. For £83 per person, we received: 1. One small glass of absinthe. 2. Three small glasses of wine, a few slices of charcuterie and a few slices of cheese shared between the group. 3. One ramekin of peppers and garlic per person, one ramekin of vegetables, one of beef bourguignon to share, soca and one glass of wine each. It didn’t feel special, and certainly not worth the price. What was more disappointing was the guide’s attitude. At the second stop, the waiter had no idea we were coming. The guide didn’t seem to speak the local language either, all was very disorganised. We were then told we were early and had to come back in 20 minutes, during which the guide suggested we just “go shopping.” There was no effort to engage or use the time meaningfully. Throughout the tour, the guide kept her distance, often sitting apart from the group and using her phone. She asked us once if we liked the wine, but there was no follow-up. It felt like she was doing the bare minimum, more as a side job than a passionate host proud to share local cuisine and culture. That human connection, which makes food tours so memorable, was completely missing. The highlights of the tour were: 1. The food itself, while small in quantity, was tasty. 2. The lovely owner at the final venue, who was warm, welcoming, and shared her story. 3. A fellow guest – a costume designer working at the Cannes Film Festival – who was engaging and fascinating to talk to. All in all, this felt like poor value for money, both in what we received and how it was delivered. If the company is relying on guides who don’t speak the local language, don’t engage with guests, and don’t seem interested in the experience they’re providing, then they should reconsider their offering. As people who love exploring local food cultures wherever we travel, from street food in Asia to wine tastings in Tuscany, we’ve experienced incredible food tours led by passionate, knowledgeable guides who truly love what they do. Unfortunately, this company fell far short of that standard. We will definitely not be using or recommending this company to anyone.

Too expensive for what you get. Isa the guide was the saving grace of this tour. She was fun and knowledgeable. She did a good job with what she had. However, this is not a food tour. We were hungry at the end of the tour which is not the norm. We had 3 stops; 1st was an absinthe drink with a cracker, the 2nd was one plate of cheese and sausage for 14 people and the 3rd stop was at a caterer where not everyone could sit down. The food was good but so small that we could not enjoy it fully. The wine was ok but rationed. Not worth the money.

Good little tour of old Antibes through a few drinks and nibbles. Ysa was a great guide, cheerful, informative, fun! Now to get some more absinthe...

We enjoyed all of the food and drink very much. It was fun to learn more about wines of the area and taste Provencal delicacies.

This was a wonderful way to get to know a bit about the history of the area as well as the food/wine scene in the Provence region. Both Ysa and Cedric were knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides and the tour was a very good introduction to wines, traditional foods and the character of the region. The small group made for an intimate and engaging few hours with both the guides and with persons at the stops along the way. It was a wonderful few hours on a beautiful evening for this solo traveler. I am very grateful to have found it, as I was surprised to see very few local offerings on Viator for tours or excursions in/out of Antibes that did not require signing up a group (minimums of 2 to 4 people). There is definitely a niche there that needs to be filled. Stephanie W.

Very good little tour! We got to try a lot of different local cuisines and it was lovely being shown to some restaurants and bars you never would have thought about going to. Worth doing on your first couple of days to the area and if you are interested in trying new food!

With Ysa as our leader, the Antibes Provencal Tasting Tour was a highlight of our two-week trip. I would recommend including this tour early in your trip, as it is a great way to meet fun people and learn about the city.

Superb history of the region and also its food and wine. Great tour, exceptional guide Ysa. Anglofrench tour included everyone superbly. Highly recommended as introduction to the region’s gastronomy reflecting the history and character of the people of Antibes.
