Pedal on The Appian Way the queen of the long roads, with a full suspension E-mountain bike or a conformable E-bike in a small group.
Today the Appian Way is a magnificent Natural Park, rich of monuments and treasures, an oasis of tranquility and relaxation, discover it!
We will start with a stop to visit the mysterious Catacombs and we will follow the Appian Way passing by ruins as the Villa of Maxentius and the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella.
Then we will discover the Park of the Aqueducts and its wonderful remnants…A spectacular atmosphere in one of the most beautiful park in Rome!!!
Next stop to taste typical roman dishes and relax in nature in the heart of the Eternal City before departing for one last immersion in nature.

In the days of Christmas , Easter and 1st of January the catacombs are closed.
On Wednesdays the Catacombs of Saint Callixtus are closed, so we go to the Catacombs of Saint Sebastian
To partecipate to the tour you need good cycling experience.
The food stop can change due to holidays or special events.

What To Expect
Porta San Sebastiano
Admire one of the Gates of the imperial city and the imposing Arch of Drusus. You can also take a view of the Appian Way from the top of the Museum of the Roman Walls.

Stroll through the grounds of the villa of the last Emperor who spent his whole life in the Eternal City.

5.00This was the best tour we have taken in Rome! We got to see so much of the city outside of the city. Our guide was great. A lot of little stops to see things we would have just passed by without knowing the history of it. The food at the restaurant we stopped at was delicious. We learned so much and had a great time!

4.00This is an excellent, but challenging, bike ride. What makes it challenging is the terrain you need to navigate on these excellent electronic bikes. This was insufficiently made clear on the website. Someone who’s not really comfortable with some rough riding ought not to be trying this. The views are lovely, the stops are as interesting as they can be given the archaeological sites that you pass. The catacomb visit is about 60 minutes, maybe a little less. The most disappointing part was the quality of the lunch, which was sort of tasty but really inadequately done with plastic plates, and… they should’ve done better.

5.00It is a delightful Way to see the outside of the ancient walls of Rome and glean some history of the Appian way and the aqueducts . Lunch was delicious and fun outdoor venue. Our guide, Silvia was fun and happy, but also cautious and considerate. We only wish that this excursion lasted longer.

5.00I w been to Rome three times and this tour let me see parts of Rome that I’ve never seen. We rode through neighborhoods and parks in the old city as well as “newer sections.”. Our tour guide. Sylvia, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and funny. I would highly recommend!

5.00An amazing trip through the streets - old and new - of Rome passing through ancient gates, by aqueducts and take a tour deep inside catacombs. You'll see beautiful sights and ride through parks with a quick stop for appertivos and drinks. Highly recommended. The e- bikes allow for an easier ride but you must be an experienced rider FYI.
