The roads were mostly with other vehicles—-I had a different image of that—-and some of the tour was on very busy roads. The guide kept us safe, but it seemed evolved a bit more anxiety (of the navigating traffic when most other vehicles are way larger than you) type. The guide was very knowledgeable, but the terrain wasn’t as smooth as I anticipated. I’ve done bike tours in Paris, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, and Munich, and this was the most difficult mentally due to the traffic and terrain that was easy to fall on. It was not physically difficult, and our guide tried to prepare us. One person fell twice and I (and I and I suspect others) had some close calls. I think it’s just the nature of the route, but I wasn’t prepared. Our guide was fabulous though, an archeologist, knowledgeable about the area. But, the park itself, even when there is not traffic, is a bit harrowing. It was the most difficult tour of all the other city tours that I’ve taken (see above) for comparison. Distance was fine, particularly with the E-bikes.

What an incredible way to explore the Appian Way, Catacombs and Aquaducts! Out guide was knowledgeable and made thoughtful stops along the way for water breaks in the shade. The heatwave did not slow us down! Highly recommend!

Such a great tour! I recommend. It took us away from the city center and into a more peaceful part of Rome. The E-Bikes were an easy way to get around. Our guide Silvia was awesome! Learned a lot of cool things, got to ride by the aqueducts, and was treated to nice dinner and drink at the end.

Hands down one of the best tours that we did in Rome. You will be biking 15 miles but with e bikes with pedal assist it’s a breeze! Sylvia was a great guide and made sure safety was first and foremost. We saw the catacombs, aquadects, beautiful scenery that you wouldn’t otherwise see on a regular guided tour. Group was small. Highly recommend!

Sylvia was a wonderful guide. Able to negotiate many types of personality with ease. Trip was fun. Great to get away from the heat of Rome and see the countryside and soak up the history.

The e bikes make this dooable for all ages and skills on a bike. The catacombs were amazing and so was the whole tour

Phenomenal! Our guide was great, knowledgeable, fun, light hearted. Kept us safe but not too controlling. Good pace. E bikes are so fun! I think this would be somewhat challenging if you didn’t feel really comfortable on a bike. There is some off roading, some city navigating. Highly recommend this!
