Pedal on The Appian Way the queen of the long roads, with a full suspension E-mountain bike or a conformable E-bike in a small group.
Today the Appian Way is a magnificent Natural Park, rich of monuments and treasures, an oasis of tranquility and relaxation, discover it!
We will start with a stop to visit the mysterious Catacombs and we will follow the Appian Way passing by ruins as the Villa of Maxentius and the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella.
Then we will discover the Park of the Aqueducts and its wonderful remnants…A spectacular atmosphere in one of the most beautiful park in Rome!!!
Next stop to taste typical roman dishes and relax in nature in the heart of the Eternal City before departing for one last immersion in nature.

In the days of Christmas , Easter and 1st of January the catacombs are closed.
On Wednesdays the Catacombs of Saint Callixtus are closed, so we go to the Catacombs of Saint Sebastian
To partecipate to the tour you need good cycling experience.
The food stop can change due to holidays or special events.

Admire one of the Gates of the imperial city and the imposing Arch of Drusus. You can also take a view of the Appian Way from the top of the Museum of the Roman Walls.

Stroll through the grounds of the villa of the last Emperor who spent his whole life in the Eternal City.

Our guide Bruno provided instructions for each leg of the trip and what to expect such as turns, uphill, downhill, etc. The pace was good and we had several stops to take pictures of sights along the way. After riding for about an hour, there is an hour break from riding for guided underground catacomb tour. The Aqueduct Park was great and not crowded. A pasta lunch is included with the tour then it is about half an hour ride back to the bike shop. Guide was professional, provided good instructions and was knowledgeable about the sites.

5.00If you have any issues with balance or depth perception, this is not the tour for you. I found out the hard way-3 crashes on the e bike. HOWEVER our guide Silvia was so caring, supportive and funny. My lifelong dream of seeing an aqueduct was realized. The countryside is gorgeous and who knew there was a "jungle" just outside of Rome? We had a second tour planned that day and the owner came early to escort us back to the meeting point. All in all a wonderful experience, despite my clumsiness.

5.00Our guide was informative and had a great dry sense of humor. Always on the watch for our small group’s safety. Not for a casual biker—very bumpy at times and narrow openings. The e-assisted bike helped but it was work. So much fun and fantastic way to see the aqueduct park and countryside of Roma.

So full of energy and history and you can tell she takes great pleasure in sharing her knowledge! She went at a great pace for the whole group. The company was easy to communicate with . This tour is a beautiful and culturally rich ride that takes you to the catacombs and ancient aquaducts so you can see how Rome was created, and how Romans live today outside the city walls. 5.00About 15 miles on an electric bike mostly on cobblestones, Roman roads, city streets and parks. So much history and sites most would never see if visiting Rome. The catacombs were interesting, aqueducts fascinating, bikes fun, lunch delicious and an amazing guide.
