This tour is essential if you want to experience the real heartbeat of Rome outside the busy and crowded tourist-y areas. This tour is a beautiful and culturally rich ride that takes you to the catacombs and ancient aquaducts so you can see how Rome was created, and how Romans live today outside the city walls. Lunch was delicious, the scenery and history was unforgettable, and our host, Bruno, was fun. This will be your favorite tour in Rome.

  • Rome, behind the scenes on an electric bike

About 15 miles on an electric bike mostly on cobblestones, Roman roads, city streets and parks. So much history and sites most would never see if visiting Rome. The catacombs were interesting, aqueducts fascinating, bikes fun, lunch delicious and an amazing guide.

Our guide, Bruno, was great… he’s an archeology pro. The bikes were solid, sturdy, secure. Route, terrain, trails were varied, sometimes challenging (we happened to return in 5 o’clock traffic). Getting out onto the Appian Way and countryside was beautiful and really interesting. The catacombs were impressive; well worth it. Dinner was light but also adequate, nice, enjoyable.

I was a little nervous about riding a bike in a busy city like Rome but our guide did a great job of keeping us safe and making me comfortable! The local lunch was good!
