• Beat activity of our holiday

  This activity was fantastic for young kids and adults. There were a selection of activities to choose from for the first half of the morning - snow showing, cross country skiing, snowmobile riding for kids and sledging. When you got too cold there was a hut with a fireplace to go for hot drinks and snacks. After this, there was a short husky ride which we all thought was the highlight of the day, as well as getting to spend time with the huskies afterwards as well. We finished off the day with a visit to feed the reindeer and a buffet lunch. Of the various activities we did during our stay at Apukka, which were all great, this was the best of the trip and I'd highly recommend it.

• Terrible personal and careless treatment with children

  I don't advise you to go to this place. It's clear we're just walking credit cards. We were 2 adults and 2 children of 8 years. At no time did the monitors wait for us to get dressed all, when there are children it takes longer and took us time at -320 and we needed to put enough layers and go to the bathroom before leaving to have no problems. No one counts to and fro. We spent 5 days, 1 day with this company and luckily the rest with another, and it had nothing to do with it. The deal was human and not like we were a flock, if you stay behind it's your problem. Really what a terrible experience. It is clear that they have grown up and set up a large company, but it costs that the deal leaves much to be desired. Don't even try to give the right transport pickup directions, which is a city bus and not yours.

  It was a great trip, it was really cold but we still had a great time. They were all very helpful and at the end there was a great lunch. We all had fun, the sled dogs and reindeer were the absolute highlight for us ☺️

  I just want to say my family thoroughly enjoyed the snow fun day at Apukka resort. The activities were so enjoyable and the resort itself is beautiful. I cannot speak more highly about the staff at Apukka resort, they couldn't have been anymore helpful. Our activity took a little longer so we didn't make the bus but the staff dropped my family back to our accomodation in the city centre. 3 course buffet lunch included and was really welcomed after our day in the snow. I'm already planning our stay next winter at Apukka resort. It is the most beautiful scenic place. Thank you to all staff at Apukka

  We booked 2 tours with Apukka and included pick up from the city centre. We did the snowmobile safari into the wilderness and Snow Train Northern Lights tours. The snowmobile tour was a good length, it gave you both adequate time to take turns in driving. It was quite bumpy sitting as a passenger for those that have any motion sickness issues. We were unlucky during our week stay in Rovaniemi that the northern lights did not appear once all week. The tour still takes place, be aware that the train moves slower than you can walk, it seemed to take forever. The team did a good job of keeping people entertained even though there was nothing to look at.

  We had a fantastic time with lunch. The kid's enjoyed most of the activities. Staff was friendly and easy communicate. Husky ride was amazing even a little bit short but great experience for us. I would recommend this company 👍

  We stayed at the Apukka resort itself, and for us this was a nice way to quickly get introduces to a variety of snow-fun. Yes, it is expensive, and I would not travel all the way to the resort just for this. It mainly caters to children, for adults this is only interesting if you have never been to the snow before. In our group there were children aged 4-8 who enjoyed it very much, and as parents you could also try out stuff without having to worry about the kids. Trying cross country skiing and snowshoeing without having to do a full two hour tour is nice enough with smaller children. The interaction with the huskies and reindeer was more than on our dedicated 'reindeer farm visit', so that was a good bonus. Emilia was our primary guide, and she was very very nice. However, all the other ones were also quick to help out and seemed to enjoy giving out information on Lappish life. The lunch was the lunch buffet in the restaurant, which is not super special, but absolutely a solid meal. My only negative was the fact that we spend quite a lot of money on this activity 'with lunch' and then got charged almost 5 euro for a single glass of apple juice. That was a bit of a let down.

  Very Disappointing & Overpriced - AVOID. Snow shoes and skis on flat ground are boring. Tobogganing was closed and there was only 1 snowmobile at a time. The huskies and reindeers were nice as was the lunch. Our kids had so much more snow and fun sledding for FREE at Angry Birds Park and NaavaCafe in Rovaniemi city centre. We would avoid this tour and look at other ones instead, the resort itself looked impressive. It feels like we were fooled paying so much for so little. It was the only let down of our otherwise amazing trip to Lapland.

  Activities were fun for kids as well as us adults (we were family of 4) and we had good time. Guides were friendly and managed all professionally and made maximum effort for us to enjoy all activities. Only negative thing was lunch, after 3 hours outside we were looking for tasty lunch and we got just soup and salad and bread (no main meal) which was disappointment and shame.

• Do not pay for snow and play if you are a guest of the hotel already even though the hotel will recommend it to make $

  Do not pay for snow and play if you are a guest of the hotel already. The 1st part of the package you already have access to as part of your accom. You can buy lunch, which is 2 hours after a huge buffet breakfast that you dont really need, the husky ride and a raindeer ride for the half the cost… The hotel will suggest it to rip you off.
