Snorkel colourful fringing reefs, explore secluded bays and beaches, meet some marine and bird-life "friends" and learn about the Great Barrier Reef with our Master Reef Guides. Your hosts, Steph and Adam, have been exploring beautiful Magnetic Island for over 39 years, they love to share the stories, history and their connection with this island they call their home. Come as guests and leave as friends. This is transformational and personalised touring at it's best!

What To Expect
Our 5 hour Discovery Tour is a combination of snorkelling fringing reefs, exploring secluded bays, and learning all about beautiful Magnetic Island. Benefit from having Master Reef Guides on tour sharing the stories of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Personalised to suit our guests with small tour numbers, your amazing adventure starts with us. Activities include exploring secluded pristine bays and beaches, birdlife, snorkel beautiful fringing reefs, reef education with Master Reef Guides, interactions with fish "friends", and marine life - whales (July to Sept), stories and indigenous history all in the one tour. Stand Up Paddle boards, floating pontoon to sit on and relax. Enjoy a morning tea on a secluded beach and connect with the special places we explore on Magnetic Islands iconic and stunning coastline. Morning tea and all equipment for activities is provided for you. Snorkel tuition is provided in a safe and caring environment.

5.00We did the Maggie Discovery Eco Tour with Aquascene Magnetic Island today and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Kalvin, our skipper, was outstanding — knowledgeable, calm, and clearly passionate about the island and the reef. The rest of the crew were also excellent: friendly, helpful, and great with everyone on board. Although the water was still a bit murky after recent rain, we were able to snorkel at four different locations and still saw some beautiful fish and coral. The crew did a great job choosing spots and making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe in the water. Well organised, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable — a highlight of our time on Magnetic Island. Highly recommend Aquascene if you’re looking to snorkel and explore the island from the water.

5.00We loved this tour, it was perfect for our family ranging in age from 11 to 20. The Crew were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The boat is decked out perfectly with plenty of space for everyone. The snorkeling gear provided was great too. We also loved the information shared about the history of the island. We recommend hiring the GoPro, it added a lot of fun for everyone. We would take this tour again.

5.00We booked our trip just after a cyclone had hit Magnetic Island and weren’t expecting to be able to snorkel. Adam did a great job mixing sightseeing and historical info with bird spotting as well as paddle boarding and eventually 2 snorkelling sights. Jess his assistant was a lovely girl who was helpful and patient with us as we were first timers. Allround great experience and would thoroughly recommend this company.

5.00My friends and I had the best time on the tour!! We had so much fun, although we couldn’t go snorkelling due to the rain, Adam and Jessie were the absolute best and made an alternative tour. Highly recommend when visiting magnetic island xx

Our family of seven thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and this was in no small part due to the efforts of our guides, Kalvin and Jack. Their knowledge, professionalism, and relaxed approach made the day both enjoyable and memorable. Given the recent inclement weather, we particularly appreciated the adjustment to the itinerary to ensure safe conditions while still delivering a cracking day on the water. 5.00Great way to experience what is on show around the area the knowledge of the staff was fantastic. The staff made it enjoyable for all on board everyone throughly enjoyed the experience.
