Start your Arabian horseback riding tour with an early morning pickup from your hotel and relax during the 20-minute drive to the stables near the Bahrain Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2005). On arrival at the stables, you’ll sit down for a traditional Arabic coffee or tea accompanied by local breakfast delicacies (choose "breakfast package"). Explore for yourself the "land of immortality", the ancestral place of Sumerians and a meeting point of gods according to the Epic of Gilgamesh. While professionals prepare the horses for the trail ride, take in the serenity of the majestic surroundings, where heritage and modern times meet. You’ll be paired with a tame horse that is well-suited to your skill level for the approximate 1-hour ride. After a safety briefing follow the same horse trails once used by Kassites, Greeks, Portuguese and Persians dating back from 2300 BC. During the horseback trail ride, you’re surrounded by gorgeous views of the Bahrain Fort, silhouetted against the sunrise as you head towards the shore of the Karbabad beach past the fort museum. Keep your camera on hand to capture photos of breathtaking view of the 500 year old fort and, if you have a keen eye, spot the Manama skyscraper skyline in the distance. After your horseback ride, head over to the stables lounge for some refreshments and prepare to wear traditional Bahraini attire for photos next to a fully decorated native costume Arabian Stallion (choose Photo-Op package) and learn more about these beautiful creatures from the real life stories of a local Bahraini equestrian jumping champion "The Captain". You’ll return to your hotel with the entire day ahead of you to experience more of Manama. Please Note: This is a single-file trail ride. Due to safety regulations, guests are not permitted to run or gallop the horses on the trail.
Enjoy local Bahraini breakfast paired with traditional Arabic coffee and tea.

Absolute waste of time and money. Not worth the price. There was no stable Tour – you just walked through the centre of the stables. Bobby the guide was fantastic and made me feel very safe and comfortable on the horse. The traditional Arabic breakfast was a club sandwich in a plastic bag. Nothing traditional about it. No Arabic tea or coffee offered I got a can of Coke instead. I definitely would not recommend this Tour for anyone. It was a joke.

Horse ride was ok, went to the fort and the water as expected, but the ride to it was rather grim and dirty. We didn’t really experience a stable tour, we just walked through it. No water was offered. On initial booking Viator did not state additional cost for our hotel pick up and nothing about extra cost for a guide if you cannot ride a horse freely. However, the guides were friendly, kind and the horses were lovely. I imagine if you’re able to take the horse out yourself, it may have been more spectator along the water or in the desert.

Our guide Bobby was excellent and very friendly. He made sure we were comfortable at all times and was kind enough to take photos of us. The ride was amazing and the scenery was a plus. Thanks Bobby!

Despite some initial problems with my first attempt in booking the ride and then cancel it due to no response from local tour (Visit Bahrain), the day after I was contacted by Kimmy of Visit Bahrain who offered us a free horse ride apologizing for the initial issues. The tour was very nice, good horses and very nice guide. We really enjoyed it. Many thanks to Kimmy and Visit Bahrain for the professional customer service follow up and for being very nice with us. Very much appreciated.

The stables are tucked into a part of the city you might never see--small farms all around. The horses and barn are spotless and well kept, the guide was friendly and informative. There really wasn't any ride into or through the desert (there is apparently a longer option for that) but we did get to ride to the beach and past the old Fort and straight into the waters of the Gulf, which is always fun. The beach is full of litter but visitors and people nearby are friendly and full of smiles. It was worth the trip to spend a bit of time on horseback. Would recommend.
