Mount Aragats
Join us on a breathtaking adventure to reach the summit of Mount Aragats southern peak, the tallest mountain in Armenia. Our first stop is at 3200m, the stunning Lake Kari, which means “Stone Lake.” Here we’ll explore the remarkable geological story of Aragats, shaped by an ancient eruption, forming a 400m deep crater and giving birth to its four distinctive peaks. Finally, we’ll reach the very top at 3888 meters, feeling triumphant and enjoying the stunning all-around views. Marvel at the breathtaking views that show the beauty of Ararat Valley, the power of Mount Ararat, and the splendid Aragats and Araler Mountains. After a day full of nature’s beauty and historical wonders it’s time to go back to Yerevan full of emotions and memories! Yes, we did it!

5.00Red Hat’s Aragats tour (run by Yeva) was a very memorable one. Yeva speaks excellent english and is very knowledgable, giving detailed information on the geography, flora, fauna and even history on her hiking tour of Aragats. I learned so much on this hike which really enriched the experience. She always makes sure our needs are met along the hike and went out of her way to buy us some local fruits in order to give us a chance to taste Armenia’s local produce. Her Aragats Hike was the best thing I have done in my week long Armenia trip.
