Hop into a Toyota Land Cruiser with your expert guide and head north from Moab to the backcountry entrance of Arches National Park and avoid the crowds.

Our first stop is to see dinosaur footprints. For millions of years this area was teeming with dinosaurs.

We pass Balanced Rock, one of the most iconic features of the Park, standing a staggering 128 feet. Landscape look familiar? Indiana Jones, and Thelma and Louise have scenes shot here.

The 4X4 trail into the backcounty climbs a short but steep rock wall passing sandstone fins, towering pinnacles and tall spires known as the Marching Men. We stop at Tower Arch for an optional hike.

As you travel along the track, hear informative commentary about the geology, wildlife and history of the park.

We make another stop at Eye of the Whale for an optional hike to a seldom visited slick rock playground named Herdina Park.

After exploring the backcountry we exit past the three gossips and Park Avenue before your guide returns you to Moab.

This was a wonderful and thrilling trip. The Navtec (company) driver Parker was clearly an expert driver and guide. Did some incredible driving and fun things to entertain us customers and make it a memorable trip. He took us back country over some really difficult terrain to give us the best views of the awesome rock formations and Arches. Additionally, Parker intentionally took us up/down/over huge boulders in the Land Cruiser to make the ride thrilling and enjoyable. That ride plus the sights made this trip worth every penny.

I will start off by saying I don’t normally book tours while we travel, but we only had 1 day in Moab and wanted to make them most of it. The national parks are so big and take a while to navigate. In order to be time effect I booked the half day adventure tour for myself and my 17 year old son. Our tour guide Marcia was awesome, she made an already good tour, really great. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to the people in the tour. We saw some amazing sites that we wouldn’t have been able to see on foot. I highly recommend this tour and Marcia as a tour guide if you are able to get booked with her!
