The train trip was interesting, but the best part of the tour was the hiking and sightseeing at Arthur’s Pass and the visit to a farm where we watched a sheep dog in action and saw a sheep being shorn. Our guide, Pete, was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. In addition, the couple who own the farm were most welcoming. We felt that this was a nice way to end the tour. We thoroughly recommend it to fellow travellers!

A perfect day with wonderful scenery, interesting commentary and a happy sheepdog called Toby. Our guide Pete kept us on our toes all day.

The best part we had was with our guide, Jude. She was very informative while on the tour. We learned a few extra things about the history of NZ & the Arthur’s pass. The mini-bus that we traveled in was extremely well maintained and comfortable to travel in. The sheep farm visit was such an eye opener to see sheep rearing in person. Not to mention the delectable homemade loaf & biscuits made by the farm owner. The train ride was a once in a lifetime experience passing through many of the nature beauty icons. I would say the tour was an amazing experience. Highly recommend this tour and the guide Jude!!! Thank you amazing team!!!

Spectacular scenery on the train journey to Arthur's Pass. Coming back by road gave us the opportunity to get out and walk a couple of times and see different aspects of the landscape. Scottie our driver gave us an informative and interesting commentary.
