The small group tour doing the TranzAlpine Train in reverse was a perfect tour. Our tour guide Jude was fun and kept the tour very interesting. The first stop to The Sheep Farm was so enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Great day out with the highlights being the sheep shearing demonstration and the train ride . Well organized and well run !

This was a great way to see Arthur's Pass and the surrounding countryside. After being picked up by our guide, Scotty and taken to the station, the train trip to Arthur's Pass was incredible. Just enough time on the train to be met by Scotty at the other end. We were driven to scenic spots along the way with lots of photo ops. Lunch at a pub and a trip to a hoarder's paradise with so much stuff there was barely time to take it all in. Afternoon tea with home-baked biscuits and slice was a joy as was the sheep shearing and sheep herding. Scotty was an incredible guide with lots of interesting information with a peek into his life as well that showed his quirky sense of humour. A great day out and the best way to see Nature at its finest.

This trip was well worth it! The train ride had so many changing views as we got closer to the mountains! We got to hike to a couple waterfalls, saw a sheep herding demonstration and were home by dinner. It felt like we packed a lot in one day.

Train was full, so best views were from our seats (open carriage quite crowded). Graham - our driver and guide - made plenty of stops at interesting viewing places, once we were off the train and on our tour. He was genial and full of information! The lunch was good, a thumbs up for the vegeburgers. The visit to sheep station was too short! - lovely, hospitable hosts and very friendly sheep dog (just a little rushed). All in all good value and a great day out.
