In the heart of the Southern Alps, Arthur's Pass National Park has an incredible diversity of flora and landscape. Experience a breathtaking journey aboard the TranzAlpine Train winding it's way through the magnificent Waimakariri Gorge. Join short guided walks to rainforests, rivers and mountain vistas. Traveling in a small group, maximum eight participants, allows for an intimate and informative experience. Return to Christchurch in one of our luxury vehicles.

We will pick you up from your hotel and then drop you at the train station for the trip to Arthurs Pass on the TranzAlpine. Our guide will then meet you at Arthurs Pass, take you for lunch and a short walk before driving you back to Christchurch in a luxury vehicle.

Our guide Peter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, the train ride was fun but I would suggest bringing food/coffee with you or go to the cafe early as the line was really long. The Tranzalpine train really needs 2 cafes. Peter took us to a waterfall and to Castle Hill. We had lunch at a local cafe which was lovely. The stop for coffee/tea & biscuits was a perfect way to end the tour.

We had such a lovely time with Stu! We got to see so many beautiful sights, and learned so much about New Zealand. This was a great, gentle adventure for our first full day in New Zealand.

A great bespoke full day tour. The train journey was fantastic followed by a drive through Arthur's Pass which included several stops & short walks. Peter our tour guide for the day provided history & information on the area & introduced us to the very entertaining Kea parrot ! The day also included a great lunch in a cafe in the village of Arthur's Pass & a lovely afternoon tea on the way home. We loved it, great value for money & Peter our guide was fabulous. We highly recommend this tour.
Great train ride and bus tour

We had a little struggle with the pickup, because i thought we had to come to the railway station, but our guide wanted to pick us up at our accomodation. At least we were where we used to be, on the Tranz Alpine Express to Arthur's Pass. The train ride and the bus tour to some really awesome places and views were great, we really enjoyed it.

Despite confirmed the pickup location the the driver/guide went to a different location We had to make calls to the tour operator as the driver did not show up on the time. Finally the tour operator was able to track the driver and directed him the meeting point where we stood waiting for over half an hour not knowing or not receiving any communication from the driver . We almost missed the tranzalpine train. The tour went well. The tranazalpine train ride to Arthurs Pass was not very scenic. Overpriced tour overall ..
