What To Expect

California Lighthouse

The California Lighthouse, commonly referred to by locals as Faro, rises prominently on a limestone plateau at Hudishibana, near Arashi Beach and the Sasariwichi dunes on Aruba’s northwestern coast. It is recognized as the tallest structure on the island. The lighthouse takes its name from the British steamship S.S. California, which sank in 1891—more than two decades before the lighthouse was constructed between 1914 and 1916. Its construction served as a safeguard to prevent similar maritime accidents. In May 2016, the lighthouse was fully restored in honor of its 100th anniversary.

Alto Vista Chapel

Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel that stands on the hills above the north shore of Aruba. The present chapel was completed in 1952 and is located on the exact same location as the original chapel, which was built by the Venezuelan missionary in 1750.

Went with my 18yo daughter. It was great for both of us. The guide was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and PERSONABLE! I'd buy sand from him even if I was standing in the desert! 😁 Definitely a tour, and tour guide, that will give you lots of information about Aruba. 5 stars!

We had been to Aruba many years ago, so we enjoyed the drive around the island to see just how much it has changed. The group had about 15 people, just right for this type of tour, on a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. We saw and learned a lot, thanks to our guide, John, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Pickup and drop-off at our hotel were convenient. We totally recommend this tour.

John was an Awesome guide. We have been to Aruba at least a dozen times but learned so many things on the countryside tour with John. This was a small group a there was a personal feeling of caring to each of our group.

It was a nice tour of the Aruba Countryside. Our tour guide, John, did an excellent job of providing information, answering questions and asking individuals individually if they had any questions. The only recommendation I have is they should mark the van better or with a sign with the name of the tour on it so it would be easier to recognize at the pickup location as other tours were also at this location.

It was an amazing experience. John was so knowledgeable about Aruba. He showed us around, gave us water and snacks. His bus was Spacious with great A/C. He is definitely the best tour instructor I’ve ever seen. I would highlight recommend.

My besties and I were in Aruba for a long weekend. Dolfi our guide was so great and we saw amazing sites. I highly recommend this tour especially if it is your first time in the island!
