California Lighthouse
The California Lighthouse, commonly referred to by locals as Faro, rises prominently on a limestone plateau at Hudishibana, near Arashi Beach and the Sasariwichi dunes on Aruba’s northwestern coast. It is recognized as the tallest structure on the island. The lighthouse takes its name from the British steamship S.S. California, which sank in 1891—more than two decades before the lighthouse was constructed between 1914 and 1916. Its construction served as a safeguard to prevent similar maritime accidents. In May 2016, the lighthouse was fully restored in honor of its 100th anniversary.
Alto Vista Chapel
Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel that stands on the hills above the north shore of Aruba. The present chapel was completed in 1952 and is located on the exact same location as the original chapel, which was built by the Venezuelan missionary in 1750.

Pickup was delayed due to marathon on island. Guide/bus driver were knowledgeable and helpful. Had plenty of time at each location to see and explore.

The tour was very good. I scheduled it the night before and everything went perfectly on the day of the tour. Our guide, John, was amazing. He shared a lot of interesting information about Aruba, in addition to those about the attractions we stopped. I recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your vacation, so you can find out places to visit in the following days during the bus journey. By the way, the entrance fee to the lighthouse is costing $6 in June/2026. Thank you AGW Tours!

The advertisement stated that Lunch would be provided/included. We were offered chips and water - not Lunch. Instead we stopped at a grocery store. Our tour guide was good.

Small group tour in a mini van. Driver was running late but great communication from the office. Learned about the island and culture ; more than the normal tourist sites. Particularly enjoyed the aloe factory and climbing the rock formations. Great way to get an orientation to the island if you are staying for a few days or a port tour.

We had such an enjoyable time with Dolfi showing us around the island. You could tell he loves telling you info and was so informative. We also felt super safe with him & he opened the doors for us and made sure we were safe and showed us all the great secrets of Aruba. He made sure we got photos in the right areas where we got GREAT vantage points and it was FUN while we learned. We would recommend you ask for Dolfi. He was 100% awesome.
