Diving in Aruba is famous for the spectacular shipwrecks and interesting coral formations that dominate Aruba's underwater realm. This includes the 400 ft. Antilla wreck, one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean. Most of Aruba's dive sites lie along the protected western and southern coasts, a short distance from the hotels on Palm Beach.

Aruba's waters are rich in exotic marine life, including stingrays, moray eels, manta rays, barracudas and yellow tail. A large, shallow sand plateau surrounds Aruba making boat travel the most convenient method of reaching the off-shore reefs. Interesting coral formations are found from shallow water depths of 20 to 100 feet, with little or no current and flat surface conditions. As a certified diver, you know how to et up your own equipment and know how to maintain a safe environment for yourself and other divers on the boat. Please adhere to this at all times. Your dive will be guided by a Red Sail dive master. We work with a dive schedule, contact Red Sail directly for the different dive locations. Dive sites are subject to change due to sea conditions or other circumstances. You have to be a certified diver to go on this tour and you need to have done a dive within 2 years prior to this booked dive. We ask for proof of certification on the pier, please present your certification card to us.

Had to walk down to Hyatt to book since red sail doesn’t staff booth at Marriott. Concierge connected me and was able to find dive. Maria pointed out several camouflaged fish and octopus. She was very helpful with equipment.

I was fortunate to be the only one on the tour and, as a first-time diver, got much-needed personal attention from Ralph, the dive instructor. He was very patient and his pool instructions made sure I was ready for the dive before we got on the boat. Once in the water, I immediately experienced pressure-related pain in the ears. At that point I wasn’t sure I’d be able to complete the dive. He took control of the situation and after a few minutes I was able to begin the descent. Once below, he guided me around the wreckage, pointing out sea-life of interest along the way. The dive went well after the initial delay and I strongly felt I got my money’s worth. After the dive he told me that my ears were more susceptible than most to pressure-related problems.

Went with Ralph (dive master) and Rudulph (captain) on 2 tank dive. Dove the Antilla and saw lots of fish. Worth doing if you're only diving for a day!

I made 7 dives with Red Sail this week (mid September) . (3 two tank morning dives and 1 night dive) Each day EL tours picked me up from La Cabanna and delivered me to the Red Sail dock behind the Hyatt as well as returning me. (Tip there is an accessible bathroom at the Hyatt. Very handy after dive day.) The Red Sail dive boat is a comfortable purpose built dive boat. The captain and dive master were both very helpful. The sites we dove included the Antilla, The Pedernales, a couple of other reefs I can’t name “”Arashi” ? .. Idk. The water was warm but I’m cold natured, so I wore my Sharkskin (equivalent to a 2mm-3mm). I brought all my own dive gear. September is the “slow” season and twice I was on the boat solo with only captain and dive master. Twice there was only one other diver, so we got excellent dive guiding from Lisa and Raolph. The two days I enjoyed 1:1 guide was memorable. The water was warm 81-83 degrees. Visibility was fair to excellent. Highlights, spotted eagle ray, frog fish, lots of eels of various colors and stripes, octopus. No sharks in this area. Easy dives little to no current. Highly recommend!

I signed up for a two tank dive, and was pleased to find that there would be only three of us, the dive master, another fellow, and I. As all three of us were very experienced divers, we were able to spend over 50 minutes on each dive, and do numerous wreck penetrations. Ralph, our dive master, was excellent and pointed out numerous examples of underwater marine life, including turtles, stingray, spotted eagle ray, octopus, fire worm, sea cucumber, trigger fish, both green and spotted moray eels, etc. During the surface interval between dives, we had great conversation among us, along with Cliff, the boat captain, who shared a great deal of local Aruba information. Our first dive was to the Debbie II along with surrounding reef, and the second dive was to Antilla, which we swam through at numerous points. All in all, an outstanding experience.

We had a fantastic time and truly felt it was worth every penny. Each dive offered something special, and the night dive in particular was unforgettable—an incredible experience that we’ll be talking about for a long time. The only minor disappointment was visiting the Antilla Wreck three times out of five dives, due to the missing buoy at Blue Reef. We were scheduled to return on Wednesday, but ended up with a different dive master, which changed the plan. Still, the overall experience was wonderful, and we really enjoyed ourselves from start to finish.
