My wife and I had so much fun on our tour of Asakusa! The tour guide we worked with and entire staff at the Art Cafe couldn’t have been nicer, more welcoming, and more thoughtful. Getting fitted for his and her kimono rentals, doing a matcha tea ceremony, a walking tour of Asakusa, calligraphy lesson, and finishing with a sake tasting were all highlights! We were worried we’d be the only westerners wearing kimonos in Asakusa, but were thrilled to learn (and see first hand) dozens of locals and tourists alike wearing kimonos like us. Highly recommend this tour! And make sure to get a melon pan from the first bakery on the first floor before leaving!

It was wonderful. We walk around, had matcha tea ceremony, calligraphy, sake tasting, and a craft. It was a very cozy place and the two ladies work with us all the time. What a great experience!

I've had a tashikomi art experience in Asakusa. I really enjoyed the process of choosing and mixing colors and was obsessed with it. I never had the opportunity to use paint as an adult, so it was a very good and fresh time. The shop was very conveniently located near the station and Kaminarimon Gate. Next time, I'd like to try making mizuhiki and matcha.

I had a wonderful experience at ART CAFE T8 ASAKUSA, which I stopped by between sightseeing in Asakusa! First, the staff were very friendly, and even for those of us who were new to the brand, they gave us advice on color combinations and drawing tips, and we relaxed and enjoyed the whole experience. It is the perfect place to commemorate a trip or create a birthday present. The location is excellent, and it is easily accessible behind Starbucks right next to Kaminarimon. Bringing melon bread bought at the melon bakery on the first floor, you can also experience art in the cool store. It's an exceptional time to take a break on a hot day and heal with art. It is also a great place to rest between sightseeing and eating. It was a valuable experience to leave memories of Asakusa in "shape". I'd love to hear about it again!

I had my first experience with Tarashikomi art in Asakusa, and it was absolutely unforgettable! The technique is so unique and beautiful — watching the colors blend and layer was almost hypnotic. The instructor was kind and patient, even for a total beginner like me. If you're in Tokyo and looking for something creative and cultural to try, I highly recommend it! Maybe next time, I want to try Calligraphic art and the tea ceremony there!

This is a tour to experience Japanese culture and Asakusa, where an art café has just opened. First, we had a matcha experience. I was interested in making matcha tea from flour, so I am happy that people can easily teach me. Shodo is also an experience that even Japanese people cannot usually afford, so I thought foreigners could enjoy it even more. It was fun to walk around Asakusa while talking with the bright and kind staff! We also had a chance to compare sake drinks and it was a great tour. I highly recommend it because you can enjoy Japan and Asakusa in a short time.

We had a great time, coming to experience freshly made matcha green tea and calligraphy art using colorful sumi ink, and the staff showed us around Nakamise afterwards! The closing sake drinking comparisons were all delicious 🍶 I was able to have a variety of experiences in about 3 hours and it was fulfilling! Asakusa trip, I had the best memories ♪ There were many other experiences, so if I ever travel to Tokyo with friends and family, I want to go again ☺️

After experiencing Tarashikomi art, I made a very beautiful colorful work, and I will hang it on my front door. I was driving today, so I was drinking cafe au lait and making art. I wanted to have a drink and have fun next time.

Our guide (Takumi ) not only took us to Sensō‑ji and Nakamise, but also introduced us to a hidden paper-fan memorial and charming Denboin‑dori alley—spots we would never have found on our own. His storytelling (and playful jokes!) made Japanese history come alive in a fun, memorable way. Takumi’s English was excellent, and he tailored the tour to our pace and interests—answering all our questions with enthusiasm. We especially loved learning about the symbolism behind each shrine and enjoying matcha in a traditional tearoom. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to dive deep into authentic Asakusa culture.
