Join us on a fun-filled and informative electric bike tour of Asheville! Approximately 3-hours long, this e-bike tour is the perfect way to experience the city’s charm and learn about its fascinating history. You’ll see Asheville’s noteworthy architectural gems, take in the stunning scenery from carefully chosen viewpoints, and hear the stories behind Asheville’s best historical sites.
The electric pedal assist and throttles on our e-bikes allow you to easily ride up Asheville’s steep hills! Your expert guide will lead you safely through city streets, bike greenways, and quiet, picturesque neighborhood roads. There is no better way to experience how Asheville has changed in recent years, what makes it so special today, and what’s in store for the years ahead than joining the Flying Bike on our award-winning Downtown Asheville E-bike Tour.

The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
Pets are not allowed on tours, please contact us with any questions or concerns.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

5.00The Ebike tour with The Flying Bike was a great way to see more of the local aspect of Asheville. Our guide Josh was enthusiastic, witty, and very informative. We really enjoyed the bits of history he shared and the stories of kindness and resilience of the residents after the hurricane. Would definitely recommend it!

5.00We had a great time with Ethan on our bike tour. He was very easy to understand and follow in the road and the bikes were very easy to ride. It was a relaxing history tour, we got to walk around the areas we stopped and Ethan gave us some great information about each place. We had great weather, I would recommend some sunscreen on a sunny day. We would definitely do this again if we were in Asheville for the relaxing bike ride around town alone.

5.00Booked today with just a few hours notice. The owner opened up a tour just for us and we had a great time. This was our second tour with Flying Bike and our first since Hurricane Helene. Highly recommended for an in depth, fun, active tour of Asheville, including some real hidden gems.
