At Dark Skies Astronomy Tours, education is at the heart of everything we do. Sure, we love the “wow” moments when someone sees Saturn’s rings for the first time—but we also love when a guest leaves knowing how to find the North Star, explain what a nebula is, or share a constellation’s myth with a friend. We believe everyone should feel empowered to look up and understand what they’re seeing.
Our tours are designed to be as informative as they are inspiring, blending hands-on telescope viewing with storytelling, sky lore, and the science behind the stars. Whether you're a kid with big dreams, an adult reigniting childhood curiosity, or just someone who loves learning new things, we’re here to guide you through the cosmos, one constellation at a time.

What To Expect
Near Zion National Park in beautiful Southern Utah, come discover the magic of the night sky on our immersive 1 1/2 hour astronomy tours. From glowing nebulae to distant galaxies, we’ll guide you through cosmic wonders with powerful telescopes and timeless sky lore, perfect for curious beginners and seasoned stargazers alike. Our stargazing adventures take place in specially chosen dark sky locations, where the night stretches wide and quiet, and every star has a chance to shine. We begin our journey settled into cozy chairs as we trace constellations across the sky, share their ancient stories and modern meanings, and explore how the stars once guided travelers across oceans and deserts. As the night deepens, so does our view, diving into the far reaches of space with our telescopes, to reveal hidden galaxies, glowing nebulae, and deep sky wonders you’ve never seen with your own eyes. It’s part science, part storytelling, and all wrapped in the kind of wonder that only the night sky can give.
What‘s Included
Our company has obtained a special permit to conduct tours commercially on federal land. All fees for conducting tours are already included in the price of the tour.

5.00Great experience, do not go if there is a full moon, she wipes out the milky way. Otherwise, we got to see Jupiter and her 4 moons lined up in a row, which is rare and the kids learned a lot.

5.00Fantastic night seeing and learning about our stars. The guides communicate very well, they were organized and very passionate about the stars. They provided chairs and blankets along with telescopes to see stars and SATURN! Would highly recommend!

5.00I can’t recommend this tour enough! This exceeded my expectations. Jenn and Rob were very knowledgeable, pleasant and very passionate about the stars. We even saw the northern lights! Everything was set up perfectly, including chairs and blankets. The telescopes were amazing to look through. If you want an amazing experience with amazing people, this is the tour for you.

5.00I had an amazing experience with my SO and friends. I appreciated how they reached out to us to discuss how the weather may affect our reservations, even recommending an alternative date the day before. Everything was setup upon arrival, including comfy chairs and warm blankets, and of course the telescopes; a wide range varying from optical to digital. It was clear that Jen and Rob are passionate, giving a great tour of the night sky and answering any questions. We were lucky enough to be there at the same night the Nothern Lights were visible. Truly a memorable experience.

5.00Jenn was wonderful! She answered all of our questions. She pointed out constellations and told a story about each one. Not only did she point out constellations but also galaxies and nebulas. I would strongly recommend this tour if you want to see our sky at night.
