We invite you to a night dedicated to searching for that frail beauty called Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. With Vidar, our professional photographer and local guide, you'll get plenty of attention and tips on how to capture the best possible photos of the Aurora Borealis. During the tour he will share stories about Troll, and its legends and myths.
Of course, you are welcome to join our tour with or without a camera. Our guide will also take photos of the aurora to share. We provide you with all the gear needed (winter suits and dry boots), and like this you can fully enjoy this tour, even if it is freezing cold outside.
Later in the evening our guide will take your portrait and send it to you via email. We will spend plenty of time under the open sky; we will not miss anything up there! Come with us on a truly amazing adventure.
If your dates (or hours) are not available in our calendar, just drop us a message, and we will do out best to arrange something for you!

5.00I joined a Northern Lights photography tour in Tromsø with Creative Vacations, led by Vidar Dons Lindrupsen, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Vidar and his team showed exceptional dedication every single night, always trying their best to help us witness and capture the beautiful Aurora Borealis. I was fortunate to photograph the dancing green lady on three out of four nights, which is a big achievement in my photography journey. The team’s professionalism, friendly approach, and excellent communication made us feel completely comfortable, even though we were in an unfamiliar country and city. We were shooting in freezing Arctic temperatures between –14°C and –17°C, but they ensured our comfort by providing hot food, warm drinks, and even setting up a fire at the shooting locations. Their daytime planning was also wonderful; having lunch by the Norwegian Sea with the cold waves in front of us was a truly unique experience. As an astro-landscape photographer, this tour has added something extremely special to my portfolio and to my heart. Creative Vacations made everything smooth, safe, and unforgettable. I highly recommend them to anyone who dreams of seeing and photographing the Northern Lights in the best possible way. Thank you, Creative Vacations and Vidar, for making this dream come true.

5.00Vilar took very good care of us noobs from Singapore. He gave us Thermal Overalls when he noticed our pants would not be sufficient for the cold. He also provided us with cosy winter shoes that helped us trudged through the snow. He is indeed a passionate man who loves what he does - showing people and sharing his knowledge about the Aurora. He is also very good at photography! One of the reasons I chose this tour was because of his photography background. Because of his artistry eye, he found us a FABULOUS spot to just enjoy the Aurora. He took care of us so well. He setup the campfire picnic and told us such a cute story about trolls. Finally, he drove us safely back home. Extremely highly recommend Vilar’s services. He is authentic, honest, friendly and very kind man.

5.00We booked two tours and each was unique! Kevin was our guide on both tours and did a great job. We received a lot of information about Aurora and Kevin didn't even stop at national borders. On the 2nd day we went to Finland and it was an unforgettable day! Definitely recommended, people work here with passion!

5.00Vidar and Kevin, out tour guides, are total pros, the experience was wonderful, beyond words, seeing the northen lights was a magical experience. I thought we were not going to ve able to see the that night because it was very cloudy, but Vidar and Kevin knew what to do and were to go and we were able to see hours of bright nortjen lights, thank you so much! They also gave us equipment, tripods for our phones, a delicious soup, snacks and warm beverages. They took the most amaxing pictures of us under the northen lights. I will remember this forever and I recomend this tour 1000%.

5.00Our experience hunting Northern Lights in Tromsø with Vidar, Silvia and Kevin from Creative Vacations was absolutely extraordinary. From the first minute they demonstrated an uncommon attention to detail, especially travelling with children. They cared about every aspect of the tour: safety, weather, stops, rest times and even small gestures to make our children comfortable and happy throughout the night. The treatment was always delicate, close and professional, with sincere dedication to make sure we lived an unforgettable experience. Thanks to your patience, your explanations and your passion for what you do, we were able to enjoy one of the most beautiful nights that we will remember as a family. (thanks to the photos you took, which are from another planet!!) One more detail: we forgot a pair of gloves that brought us to our hotel the next day. We recommend them without hesitation: traveling with them is a guarantee of care, quality and magic.
