Founded on 27 April 1940, Auschwitz became the site of extermination by inhumane conditions and physical destruction of prisoners. It was the biggest death camp of the Nazi regime and during your tour a licensed guide will sensitively take you to see the barbed wire fences, watchtowers, barracks, gallows and gas chambers; these depict the circumstances under which the Nazi genocide took place.

The experience was very enjoyable, we were picked up from our front door by a guy called George. George was very helpful and made the whole experience so much easier by picking us up, dropping us off and giving us information on what we will need and don’t need for the journey. The tour was amazing and would recommend this service 👍

The experience, conducted in family, was very expected and desirable, but started badly, right upon arrival at Auschwitz concentration camp, at 5:00 a.m., where we had to wait in queue, with negative temperatures and standing until 6:30 a.m. (time of opening the gates, for access to the restaurant), having not been informed, at the time of the purchase of tickets, that we would be in this situation, having been caught by surprise. In addition, at the time of purchasing the tickets (which were not cheap, for 3 people), we chose the English language, taking into account the unavailability of the Portuguese or Spanish language. However, we were surprised, by the negative, by a Polish guide who refused to speak English (except when he wanted to inform us that it was forbidden to take photographs or not to move away from the group). Although we were offered a book in Portuguese, we ended up losing information, even because we visited blocks 8 and 9, of which the book informs nothing. In addition, the guide (an extremely arrogant person and nothing empathic) advanced, without waiting for the group (27 people, of which only 6 spoke/understood Polish). Although it was a striking experience, because we know the history and the facts of what happened, it ended up being marked by the disillusionment of not having a guide and a more detailed explanation/presentation. It is a visit that those who go to Krakow (Poland) should not miss, but that should be better planned and customers who buy tickets in VIATOR should be properly informed of all these situations.

Our local Operator was good but be aware you are not buying a ticket. You are buying an early start, to then wait in a queue and your operator then books you into any tour they can (whether they speak your language or not). The Aushwitz ticketing system and requirement to be on a tour has created a false market. If you have time and can book up direct from official Site it’s better, otherwise be prepared to queue early and in the cold. The museum itself remains as powerful, harrowing but ultimately important as it ever was. The booking system here and local rep were good but the whole system of doing it is way isn’t great at all.

Booked to go to Poland especially to go to Auschwitz, paid £175 for 2 of us. While we were in the airport had a message to say we were being picked up from our hotel at 4am the next morning to go. We waited and waited and waited. Nothing did not turn up, made no contact and I was ringing them constantly with no answer. Finally got through at 8am that morning, they made so many excuses as to why they stood us up. We were so upset as this was the main reason we came to krakow. We could not visit the next day as it was so busy. This company is a scam!!! Could not give 0 stars

I had a great experience and highly recommend this tour. Olek was an excellent driver—very punctual, friendly, and professional. The visit itself was both shocking and deeply memorable. Thank you!

Very well organized. Highest score. Absolutely recommended. It is quite an experience to visit the concentration camps and realize that thousands of innocent people suffered and died there.

It's a big cold one, 7:30 when we arrived. Titanic task getting a machine coffee. No time to see the sale of books, controlled to the minute, get.... see one, to the car.... See the other... To the car... And the hotel. But hey, it has to be seen, it is very worth it despite being an overexploited business of black history and the barbarism of humanity.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Olek was a great driver and the lunch provided was filling and tasty. The only thing I would improve would be having longer than 10/15 mins break as the first tour lasts 2 hours and you need a rest before the second one which lasts an hour.
