What To Expect
Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
Attend an Australian Rules football match involving a Melbourne-based football club. Accompanied by your local host, the rules and game will be explained as well as the origins of Aussie Rules and how it is integral to the local culture. There will also be the opportunity to try out the basic skills.

5.00We had the best time attending the footie match with Michael. He took us on a tour of the Australian Open grounds, talked all about the different sports in Melbourne, taught us about the game and brought along a ball for us to try to kick, catch and punch the ball. Very fun! Michael is super friendly, fun, has a great laugh and smile. His love of Australia, Melbourne and sports is obvious. Many thanks for the great experience and for the tips of other things to do and see in Melbourne. GO PIES!!!

5.00This was a perfect tour to become a part of and get a sense of the big sports side of Melbourne. Ben's passion, experience, and knowledge on Australian sports was so evident and his enthusiasm was contagious. My day included a ticket to the Boxing Day test match and for someone with no cricket background, Ben's insights on how the sport is played and what it means to Australia was a key reason I booked it. I learned so much on this tour and I'm even more eager to return one day to witness the Australian Open and other sporting events in the area. I highly recommend it!

5.00We recently had a wonderful experience joining Ben McAuliffe on a walking tour of the famous Tennis, Cricket and Australian Rules Football venues in Melbourne. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his love of all sports, particularly Melbourne's history and status as Australia's sporting capital. We would highly recommend sports fans to take such tours with Ben. You will have a great time! Sita and Murugan.

5.00This is the must do’s for your visit to Melbourne. Ben was really informative and kind. We were mind blown with the information and knowledge he shared with us. We were expecting a normal informative tour of MCG but to our surprise Ben provided us with the Boxing day match tickets for the day. This was really the best experience we’ve had in Melbourne. 5.00It was an amazing experience for watching AFL at MCG with a local tour guide!!! Australian rules football is something different than other sports I have engaged before. Thanks to our knowledgeable tour guide Ben, we can swiftly understand the rules, fun facts and history. Strongly recommend sports fan who haven’t been there before. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere is epic, the game is thrilling as well. Even my 2 years old son had so much fun during the game. I’m sure you will enjoyed it👍👍👍

5.00There's no better way to experience your first AFL game than with a local sports pro! Aussie rules football is a sport unlike any other, and experiencing it first-hand with Ben was a joy. Fantastic seats, incredible environment, and great knowledge all throughout the game! The MCG is easily the coolest sporting stadium I've been in, and AFL fans fill the place with so much energy and excitement. Definitely a must-do while in Melbourne!
