As you probably know Spanish explorers often labeled rivers with red, muddy water as "Colorado" (red), leading to naming of Austin's main river too long before the state of Colorado existed. Austin's Colorado River is not connected to the ‘real’ Colorado River in the Southwest, though that formed the Grand Canyon. Two rivers, same name, no connection. Bit stupid really ;) Had an enjoyable, fresh, morning bikeride with Peter upon arrival in Austin with plenty of funny insights like these and how Lady Bird lake got her name. This was fun!

We had a great time with Rob. The tour included a good mix of trails, downtown, neighborhoods, and even a city park. Rob knows a lot about Austin. It felt very safe and we had a great time. We would do it again.

Austin Electric Bike Tour: Let it Ride was so much fun! I did the tour with my husband with Robert Wilson as our guide. He was excellent! First, he was amazing at making sure my husband, who is very hard of hearing, fully understood instructions on how to use the pedal assisted e-bike. He also made sure my husband could hear and understand all the interesting information he shared about Austin. In addition, Robert thoughtfully tailored the tour to meet our needs as senior citizens. He was patient, kind and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing so many interesting facts about Austin along the way. We absolutely loved this experience and would highly recommend this tour, especially with Robert as your guide!
